If you have a number on one network can you tranfer it to another network?

some you can... I recently changed from pay as you go to contract and got to keep my number, but have always been with orange...

I guess it depends on which you want to go to and from...

Yes you can using a PAC code. You have to ring up your operator and ask them for it. It is usually only valid for 30 days though so make sure you do it as soon as possible once you get the code.

OP.. it takes about 2weeks in total

you can transfer from / to any DIFFERENT network (but you cant stay with the same provider e.g. from payg to contract)

Um, fine thanks yourself?

I had to wait a few days for my number to transfer... not too long i also lost all my numbers from my sim card! :(

I just transfered my number from an T mobile contract to an orange PAYG Got the PAC code from T mobile over phone and they also posted me out a letter confirming PAC code was vailid for 30 days Called Orange up on sunday and number was changed over early Thursday morning
