Here's a letter from the latest issue of ComputerActive:
I have an HP G7000 running Microsoft Vista. Recently, my Kaspersky antivirus software failed to update. Later, when I fired up my web browser to use the Google home page, I got what can be best described as a cartoon picture – the word ‘Google’ was depicted as various objects, such as tables, chairs and brooms.
Initially, I assumed that Google had changed its design but it only happened once. Then a few days later, a similar thing happened, but this time the word ‘Google’ was much more difficult to read. I have not read anywhere that Google has changed its design – could I have a virus? I have ditched Kaspersky and installed Bullguard and Webroot Spy Sweeper but neither has found anything. What’s going on?
