  Merlins started going downhill and going offline for a day here and a day there and now seems to be gone full stop.
  
  Matrix is doing the same of late with the odd server error here and there hope thats not going the same way.

  nzbmatrix.com gets DDOS'd quite often, and does tend to suffer a lot of Downs time because of it. It'll be back, more than likely. Word would;ve circulated around the p2p and ng networks of its closure by now otherwise.

  Bit annoying that the Matrix is down but you can't complain that these sorts of sites go down often, it's the nature of the beast.

  Not with you? Its categorized, yes all the files can be found using binsearch, the majority of NZB sites just tidy everything up as a rule and make it that bit easier.

  Newsgroups are still thriving. Newzbin is back up.
  
  Why not get a bluray drive or use the PC's dvd drive and get a Lovefilm subscription? Rent the film/tv series then burn to hard drive. Only worthwhile if you are not too fussed about early copies of new films.

  Owners declared it bankrupt to avoid massive court damages and someone else bought the domain - the site code was hacked or leaked - depending on who you ask.
  
  New ppl obviously think they can make some money before the 2 years or so it takes them to get hauled in front of a judge again.
