I have a o2 monthly sim and am going abroad next month so have registered for 'my europa' so I can receive incoming calls from uk for free. If a person calling me from the UK has o2 to o2 calls free will they also be able to call me for free even though i am abroad. Thanks

Yes, if you call anyones mobile and they are abroad it doesnt affect your charges.

After all - how are you supposed to know if people are out of the country or not.

I'd phone 02 back and speak to someone again. no offence to babbabooey but why would you believe him and not the woman from o2.
Phone them back and get it confirmed otherwise I could be looking forward to the thread when you get back from holiday titled " a random person from the interweb told me calls wouldn't be charged but o2 told me they would,I believed the random snd they were charged. what do I do now?"

We're on O2 and daughter has just got back from Peru - when I call her she gets charged on her account but I don't on mine - unfortunately as it's me who pays the bill as she's at Uni it means I still get to pay lol ! Teenagers are so crafty hehe :-) !!

Not really, it means you've not taught her the value of money, I'm at uni and pay my own contract.

I really dont care whether you pay your own contract or not - she appreciates everything I do for her and as she is my daughter and I love her I do whatever I can to help her - that's what parents are for.

babbabooey is correct, the caller in the uk is ringing a uk phone,it is the receiver of the call who is roaming which incurs charges for receiving that call. The o2 rep has given incorrect info
