Okay Well i was thinking, and still am of taking the £7.50 a month insurance out on monday with o2 for my N95..

Anyway.

Last night :whistling: I got a tiny, and im emphasising on tiny bit drunk.

Dropped my n95 and its really scratched. Does the accidental damage cover this damage if i say i 'just dropped it'

Or should i say 'i lost it'

i dont even know what the signs mean so no offence taken, if you have dropped your phone and it is damaged (not cosmetic) then you are covered, not sure it covers wear and tear and cosmetic damage. what insurance are you taking out?
#6
The expensive one that only has a £25 excess.

I was taking it out anyway

its cosmetic damage :(

Its really rough though, and hurts your fingers when you rub them over the scratchs- my fault for getting drunk really.

Might just say i lost it then donate the phone to the environment charity, or something:S.

I might be wrong but I don't think you are covered

What all the phrases mean
This glossary explains what all the phrases mean when used in this contract.

Damage
Physical destruction or failure of Your
Equipment due to external forces which
prevents it from working properly.

seems to imply that the phone must be unusable
There is also this

Exclusions

11.Any Damage caused by a wilful act of
negligence by You or another person with
Your permission.

They could say that dropping it was negligence if they wanted to be awkward.

If you are going to say that you have lost it I would have a good read at the exclusions in sassie's link first.

brick the phone and give it back
#10
I was thinking, if i explain to them HOW i dropped it [Was running and it was in my hand] do you reckon they'd say it was negligence I mean phones do fall out of hanbds.

I couldn't tell you as it depends on their interpretation though it does say willful negligence so that is in your favour.

I once left mine in my jeans pocket and then put them through the washing machine and they replaced it (this was vodaphone).

if the phone still works it will not be covered for scratches and dents etc, etc,
#13
Would i be able to say every now and then the phone turns off randomly, or would they check it?

I know what you mean, once you have had it a week or so you seem to find all sorts of faults....shame i din't take some sort of insurance out at the begining but I suppose I am stuck with this model till the end of the contract :whistling:
#36
tOmm what have I told you about getting drunk!
Getting drunk is only for us professionals!

Run you phone over with the car then when you fill in the claim form just put a group of lads were chasing you and you ran across the road and it fell out of your pocket and got run over.
Or go and rob the mockup N95 from the CPW ond put the case on yours!
#37
Hmm reckon i could do the second one, not rob like, but buy a mock version.

Heck aparently i wanted to sleep in a trolley from somerfield in sherwood :\.
