Im currently with BT but the price i pay is rediculous compared to other ISP's but i know i have stability with BT, my line never drops and the speeds are great and consistant
I just wondered if id get the same stable connection / consistancy with o2 broadband

Theres also unlimited usage (with o2) which is a must have for me, thats one reason i went with BT also

I prefer the Tmobile usb broadband & have been using that for almost 2 years now.
can also use it on the move, carry it with you in the pocket & plug it in any machine. get going.

Hope that helps.

Whilst 3 isn't the best, there's a £7 a month deal on at the mo inc free modem (18 month contract): good price IMHO

"Be There" is an O2 product and is always in teh top 5 customer rated ISP's
thinks its £24 for 24Mb

Me and Harlzter love it, I've had a couple of small problems but probably something to do with my pc anyway.

Freephone technical support helped me fix them, can't say that about many companies out there.

I have o2 broadband and it's been great. I pay £7.50 per month

Was on BE unlimited then changed for free to O2, get a solid 16Mb connection and so far no down time, would totally recommend it

Brilliant i think im gonna request my mac code, god knows how much this is gonna cost me im probably a 3rd of the way through an 18 month contract with BT

Tiscali does broadband and phone for £14.99,best value for money. No problems with them whatsoever,no limits on downloads.O2 quality the same as bt`s:great at daytime, slow on evenings and weekends.

omg BT want me to pay the remaining contract in full for the mac code, thats rediculous! its like over £200 left

Same here.

Its been by far the best isp I've had and unlike aol so far unlimited downloads pretty much mean unlimited as my bulging hard drive will testify and no capping of speeds.

AOL is unlimited downloads, has been for me.

wasn't for me, this time last year I got an email quoting unfair usage blah blah blah and my connection speeds were throttled between 6pm and 10pm suffice to say I got my mac code pretty sharpish and have been with o2 since the start of the year.

They have to give you a mac code, whether in contract or not. You'll have to pay thr £200 but they can't withold a MAC anymore.

I thought it would be something rediculous like £40 to pay to end my contract and get the mac code, but pay the rest of the contract? when im not even gonna be using BT? thats bloody barbaric

All ISP's are the same. Your best just to see it out rather than pay the contract up.
#17
dont worry i think i will, no way am i paying for 2 ISP's!!!

I've just ordered O2 broadband yesterday after reading great reviews about it. There is one thing I was wondering though, what's the O2 Wireless box II like? Or do you think I'd be better using my Netgear router?

I switched from BT to o2 on thursday. I went from 3.7M (sometimes down to 2.5M) with BT to 4.5 with O2. I can download at 475K/Sec and it seems to be more consistent throughout the day, even with torrents. The up speed has changed from about 50K/Sec to 120K/Sec too, which is fantastic for hosting games.

Everything happened when they said it would, they kept me informed and I am very pleased, everything I wasn't with BT. You can't beat the price either £7.50 instead of £28?? Madness not to!

All the best,
Ash
