Finally we have managed to migrate away from our troubled ISP redten a.k.a.deadten to O2 and so far excellent we where getting 3.2meg with the old supplier yet with O2 its over 10meg woo hoo the only difference that could have caused the speed increase is differnet equipment in the local exchange to before, we are only paying for upto 8meg too! Bonus!!! so 10meg download speeds with unlimited downloads for £7.50 a month!! The switch to O2 was smooth too and their customer services are great!

we have just changed from virgin to o2 and so far the speed is great much better than virgin! , only problem is the connection regularly drops, it automatically reconects again but is a pain, hoping o2 will be able to fix it! ( a quick google seems to suggest a firmware issue so shouldnt be too difficult to fix)

Had O2 for about six months and we've always had that problem - might look into updating firmware - but its only a small irritation anyway and so far service has been good and speed very good. Just a bit concerned that with the large rush of people seemingly migrating to them things can only go downhill...

If you have phone on PAYG with O2 the £5 discount also applies.
Although £10 top up every 3 months is required... it is still £20 p.a. cheaper ;)

Agreed. SInce O2 started sharing the Be Hardware, I also think the service has gone downhill a bit. Never used to get any disconnections and D/L speeds were higher.

Its still a good option. I could swap over to O2 from Be if I wanted (and save some dosh), but dont want the hassle of tieing myself to O2 for mobile. (Even though I think O2 are the best mobile operator and likely to migrate back to O2 when my T-Mobile expires in 5 weeks. The missus is already on O2!)

Mine tracked at £50 :?, 2 x £25, both on different dates, I hope they pay up at least £25

At first your speed will be above what you signed up for. And then it'll drop back down to your signed up speed after a few weeks. For example, the £7.50 for O2 mobile customer deal gives you Up to 8 meg. You might see your speed above 8 meg at the beginning but it will drop back down to the 8 meg a few weeks later.

But still no complaint coz you get what you signed up for. Just don't expect to continually get more than the 8 meg.

i also have o2 now, and cannot recommend this enough. I'm paying 7.50 a month for around 7mb.
Thats a frickin bargain !!! (was paying approx 28£ per month for 4.4 mb)

I was spoilt by Virgin Media paying them £15 for 8 kbps!!! (peak hours 16 - 24 ;) - what a rubbish company .
I feel that every offer that deliver useful transfer during peak is a bargain ;) .That's why I am with bethere now (O2 is the owner)

It's fantastic.

I live MILES away from the exchange, and Virgin stops 5 doors down from me !!

Had to put up with 1mb internet for 3 years, now got 3MB from O2.

It's because the likes of BT use ADSL2 or ADSLMAX technology, while O2 use ADSL2+ !!

I even configured my own router to use with it :)
