Okay well final straw with o2. Got an n95 10 days ago, its developed a fault, a new one was supposed to be delivered today. So i took the day off college and it didnt turn up!

So my mum rang them and the phone isnt in stock and they wont have any more in until 7th october.

After 30 minutes on hold she asked to cancel the contract, but they wont let her because the contract was ordered 15 days ago.

So they promised her she'd have one at her door on the 8th of October, we then realise thats a sunday and tell them.

*We will promise you one on the 9th of october*.

We will also credit £10 to your contract as a goodwill gesture -

---
So what do i do if it doesnt come monday?

Im raging tbh.

Not really fair is it when we have to keep to our side of the contract, but they make no effort to stick to theirs :-(

That's naff- I'd get your mum to phone with guns blazing and speak to the highest ranking member of staff she can. Try and sort something out, if the welps can't help you say "OK if you can't help then can I speak with your superior" and just keep doing it :giggle:

14days is the limit on any o2 contract as is with most other phones.

personally i'd ask for another phone.

Also this looks like 2 weeks in total with no phone, most services offer 1month free/credit with such a gap in service nevermind a measely £10 credit

Demand different phone +
threaten to complain to ofcom over such service and remind them THEY HAVE BROKEN the contract by providing no phone and hence no service since you sent your n95 away.

t0mm when did you have the phone delivered, i thought it was the 19th, which actually makes it 13 days :?

looking back at your posts you got it on the 20th which was 12 days ago

when you get the phone first thing to do is to change the product code to a generic version and reflash the phone with the latest firmware as that irons out most of the bugs in the last firmwares and increases battery life by alot mate

There's a 30 day return policy for faulty phones so what you have been informed is incorrect most likely a new advisor.

my sister has just got out of her o2 contract, she brought the n95 in april on contract and had it set up for £50 per month, the first month was cool, but then shehad nothing but problems with the tariff being wrong and them trying to charge her more line rental after 3 months of dispute and threatening them with small claims court if they so much as try and charge us for the remianing line rental, we managed to get them to cancel the contract, although they put you through to rententions and by they are good at trying to keep your custom, but in the end we got rid of the contract and my sis got to keep the phone. dont stand any nonsense off them, they try everything to keep you signed up to them but once you start chanting laws and courts, they give in quickly - good luck

I'm pissed at the moment after a dumb nokia service centre guy has made my phone now only last 10-18hrs. After taking the phone apart myself and having a look, his soldering isn't upto scratch I had asked him had he bodged the repair causing the board to short running my battery down. Would this be plausible? He's now pointed out some suspect marks on the back of the LED screen (it's sweat) and now said he can't do anything more for me.
