I use one in a mobile broadband dongle, its hit and miss if they find out (via imei) but only usually check if you abuse it, and when they do find out they turn the free web bolt on off, i'm into my 11th month so far so all good, I also have one waiting to be topped up to be activated. So its off to ebay for a cheap top up:whistling:

I'm after one for a carputer i'm building & I noticed the same thing I paid £3.50 in september for one now your lucky if you can grab one for under £30. :?

i think the price has rocketed because o2 have been turning off the free web browsing on the sims used in other phones and dongles thus meaning there is not as many around thus driving the price up, i think this is the best explanation :-D

I bought one a while back for £8 - then when it came to buy another it was £30. The seller said they are no longer availible so in short supply. In a happy ending to my story I never used the newer one as I flogged my iphone and so I managed to sell it for £40!..

Thanks for that then :)

Also for anyone wanting one to use in their phones I suggest just going for the one where you top up £15p/m for unlimited text and internet, then you could always get the £5 o2 friend bolt-on :)

Personally tho, o2 isn't the best :)
