O2 Open Scheme (ending in August) - Possibly only Pepsico affected

While my brother was in work last night he noticed a flyer in his work on the noticeboard to say that the o2 open discount is finishing in August (think he said around 17th) and apparantly Vodafone are getting the deal.

He works for Pepsico so not sure if it's just the company he works for that is stopping the o2 open and moving over to Vodafone or if all the other companies listed are going to be the same. If you planning on getting a contract through the o2 open scheme then best to do it before the promotion ends.

Be interesting to see if anyone else that works for a company that has the discount has had the memo in their work or via intranet.

My brother mention that on the flyer it said that if you are already on the open contract then the discount will still be deducted until your contract is finished

A company gets it when o2 are the carrier for the business phones.

So Pepsico must be moving over to Vodafone hence why o2 open is ending.

Strange think my brother mentioned that in their work all the phones are through Orange

Just glad I got my iphone 3GS before August as even now their is apparantly a shortage of the 3GS and heard that o2 have put the open scheme on hold on that handset according to a thread on the o2 forums

Maybe the higher people at Pepsico have o2.
That's true on the o2 open not being on iPhone anymore.

Good job we got in their quickly and got the discount before all the messing around started with them sometimes saying the iphone was included then they were saying it wasnt. It does my head in with o2 that it seems hard to get an answer of of people that work for them

Log in online, check your 'last bill'

It will say in there how much discount you have.

You got yours on launch did you not?

How much was your first bill?

Yeah picked mine up on launch day but the guy in the shop said it wouldnt go on my account until my second bill due to the fact your first bill is generated straight away

My first bill was for £55.46 (including insurance i didnt ask for)

No discount mentioned on my last bill

Obviously O2 open isn't movin g to vodafone...

Anyone that works for pepsico wont get o2 open from the middle of August if they try and start a contract as according to the memo Vodafone will be getting the deals for any staff that work for that company
