That was one of the 1st hits i got T0mm tbh when i just googled.
Just wondered how the 2 compare costs wise
Seems most folks would say verizon is the most reliable so now it's o2 vs verizon i guess :)

or if you are on Hols leave the phone at home for once

It's so a mate can keep in touch with his missus
Hence reliability over cost is the deciding factor :)

I've heard Verizon is a lot better in Central NY then AT&T.

AT&T is okay in upstate NY.

Just checking Verizon's PAYG Rates so need to find the o2 equivalent for contract, or PAYG.......and then they can decide

This O2 sim could be tempting......

Bear in mind you have to buy the sims for like $10 and put like $25 on with most companies.
Thanks for that, all info stuff like that is appreciated :)

Would be good if i could find a comparison site

Verizon charge $1.49 / min to other available locations. - thats about 90/min

the O2 sim has 100 mins for £15 that 15p/min

Verizon don't use sim cards (neither do sprint), they try and sell you a phone for $50 then you have to buy $30 of credit aswell, I was there last month.

You need to look at AT&T, T Mobile and there's another I think.

T-Mobile you have to buy the sim ($10) and like $20 of credit. AT&T you get a free sim and have to buy $25 credit, this was correct at the end of June when I was there, check out the rates to call home aswell.

I thought vodafone UK had no roaming charges this summer?

Only from other places in the world who use Vodafone.
They're kinda trialling 3 like home.

@dcx_badass
Is there anyway then to pre-buy from UK, if needs be, via AT&T themselves a sim card?
Daft as it sounds, do you still have yours, or have i mis-read and you didn't get one?
Vodafone is not an option
It's only needed for a week :-(

S'ok, have sorted it i think
Registred on the AT&T forum and got help from there :)
Gonna get a sim from ebay with credit, and that should be fine
