Took out a 12 month contract last March when I got a refurbished N95 via E2Save (also managed to bag a N95 8GB for £99 as well) which has worked out to £80 for the whole year after cashback redemption and Quidco.

Spoken to them over the past few days and they seem to not be able or allowed any licence to offer me anything comparible with what's out there from other online retailers.

For example, I told them about Nokia 5800 on a 12 month contract, which costs £15 p/m with T-Mobile (after cashback). The best they could do was to offer me a £20 p/m on a 12 month contract and pay £105 for the handset (original cost of £205) after they put a £100 credit on my account.

And what's up with their 18 and 24 month contracts? I can't understand why people ever sign up to those?

Just tell them your going to go elsewhere then. They will soon try and compete.

I can only see an 18 month contract for £15 on there

EDIT: Seen the retention deal now, works out at £17.50 which isn't bad for 12 month contract

yeah, I agree. I did the same with t-mobile as my phone broke before end of my contract. I told them I wanted to pay up rest of contract and they offered to credit my account with £50 to fix the phone and then someone else called and gave me a replacement at no charge and no affect to my contract. So I can upgrade at end of my contract as usual :-)

My line will be cut off in 3 days. I think my intentions are pretty clear. ;-)

I prefer getting a new number as it isn't connected to anything of any relevance just me.

Means I know everyones contact details and they don't know mine.

£40 Quidco from here compared to £30 from Phones4U, makes this better deal (same deal).

Prefer Carphone Warehouse to Phones 4U as well.
