I don't think they want you as a customer !!

i left o2 after such a long time because they offered me a crappy deal for the bold 9700. i went to orange and received my phone on wednesday! so far so good!! :-)

look online for other providers and see if they can price match if not go to another provider

Is that on 18 months? I got the 1200mins deal for 45 on 24 months, which i think is their standard price.
Would have gone with Voda had my mate not got me a 30% discount.
Had been with O2 for a good few years prior to the upgrade! Several people have confirmed that O2 are getting rather stingy regarding upgrades.
If you need the amount of minutes then look at the 'one' contract from 3, or the business unlimited tariff from tmob.

I see Kulsum mentioned Orange but I would strongly advise you against it. The worse provider I have had to deal with - on more than one occasion and on two different contracts, both being on different people's name but with my name added on, because both people were finding it hard to deal with orange. oh and their network is bad is so many places, but the merger with tmob might fix this.

I think that's in part due to the regulations that have come in place, which means they make less money - eu calls, connection cost etc...
Having said that, when I had a chat with them, Voda were offering me the best deal out of the lot. But that was for a second contract.

Vodafone are still offering me the best, but I could get the same as a new customer! This will be the 4th contract I have with them.

£30 for 600 mins, unlimited texts and bb services and bb bold 9700

And knowing people that work in upgrades/retentions (its all the same) they say there isnt much movement on any prices atm

Its an 18 month but as i have been with them for 7 years i have gained a 40% discount but they said..."sorry, if you upgrade you will lose that and all your extras as we are moving all customers to 2010 tariffs!"

what a load of....

they also said the reason you don't get the great upgrades you used to get is because people were complaining that you cant get the deals new customers get so they had to get rid of the upgrade deals to make way for the new ones...I said that a load of rubbish because if I wanted an offer that a new customer could get I could just cancel my contract and start a new one!
