Right I'm currently with o2 simplicity 600 minutes and 1000 texts + unlimited web for £20 a month.

My current phone is on it's way out, so I'm looking to upgrade my pay monthly tariff to include a phone.

Just curious is anyone has had any luck with o2 in converting to a pay monthly contract with a phone from simplicity? I've had a look on the website, and for £20 you only get 100 minutes and unlimited texts. If they are negotiable over the phone I would rather give them a call.

I have the Nokia 6700i Slide in my sights, so any advice would be appreciated!

i called last week to find if i could get a good upgrade, what he offered me was crap tbh, he told me to call be in a month's time and i might get a better offer then, if i could get good quidco cash back i'll prefer that, i got £100 the last time

Buy the phone offline it's relatively cheap.

I just took out another simplicity, got £200 cashback and bought a phone with that.

Does that work for current customers though? I've been with o2 for about 10 years.

As above, does quidco not just apply for new customers?

Don't know what you class as cheap but it's not normally a phone within my price range!

I rang o2 earlier today, and after explaining my situation didn't really get any further forward. Think I'll just try my luck in one of the o2 stores and see what they can offer.
