Anyone who wants to lose weight for a special occassion or just because they were piggies at xmas come and join in the chat!

Anyone else got any ideas on how to lose the weight without being too energetic haha?!?!

Apart from not being able to put my heating on tonight but who needs heating when you have Get Fit with Mel B for the Kinect...... OMG she is one hardcore woman! I feel like my stomach muscles are killing me!!!!!! Has anyone else played it??

Used to be a size 10 when I met saxo_appeal now I'm 14/16

I feel disgusted!

Even after having Katie I was 9st 10pounds now its bogging how much I weigh :(

Bought salad stuff and having ham salad wraps for lunch this week and bought squash instead of fizzy juice for at work.

Why have I left going to the gym so late. It's gonna be so busy up there - suppose I'll have to put up with loads of idiots.


I always go late usually hitting the proper weights/benches at about 8pm

Wow over a 1000 comments now :) well done guys :)

Well I am struggling to shift any weight just now. Only eatting 1500-1700 cals per day and going to the gym twice a week, body pump once a week and Kinect every night. Just can't shift any pounds :(

Any ideas what I could be doing??

As you're female, lower the calories and try to cut carbs out as much as you can. I'd say try to stick at 1400 or lower for a week or two.

Also drink alot of water, try switching to green tea and/or cutting sugar out of the normal tea/coffee you do drink.

Also ensure (which Im positive is already happening) that you get your heart pounding when you're at the gym etc

Managed to fit in another 3k run last night with the dog. Hardest thing is just getting out the door. So doing weights at lunch and cardio in the evening.

Decision now is do I go to Protein shakes, trying to work out if it will be a cheaper way of getting protein. Currently having tuna and eggs as a protien.

I'd expect pure powder would work out cheaper than tuna & eggs, in terms of per gram of protein - that said though, eggs and protein are probably the best foods out there for weight loss and muscle gain, particularly if you bin the egg yolks.

Stupid. :) 1400 is small enough.

Getting that low, you'll end up losing muscle, and humans have a ton of muscle weight. Which is why they state it as weight loss and not fat loss.

Yesterday did Chest, then Back, got to Shoulders = Not happening lol.

Not good hun ,you'll get a quick fix but these kind of "diets" mess with your body and when you go back to normal eating you'll pile the weight back on.

I see you mention you're doing bodypump, it's good but if you're in a hurry to shift weight quickly you need to do some some cardio classes, something like boxfit.

Started hitting the defecit again, about 1800 cals a day. Had a sick pig out on the weekend including loads of crap and mcd's.

Lost 5 pounds in 2 days lulz. Dat der sodium and water retention.

Hmmm, holiday 2 weeks Saturday, tempted to go hard on final workout week or should I take it easy to prepare for 2 weeks of all inclusive pigging and sun soaking??

Does anyone reckon the stats on mapmyride are pretty accurate? Done just under 14 miles, most was on a trail at the side of a river, plenty of steep hills dotted along it, then about 4 mile on the road with some good inclines, stats say we burnt over 1100 calories. Was knackering like.

Tried Boxercise for a few weeks a couple of years ago and could swear I was dying! Put me right off! Might head back to bums, tums, hips and thighs though as i remember that was brill, it would push me to not being able to move and still had to go for it! Might just eat tons of veggies and a main think like chicken or beef from now on. What is carbs? is that like pasta, rice, potatoes, bread etc? So just cut them all out. Is cous cous ok?

If in 2 weeks, I'd say go on a 1k calorie diet for 2 weeks like mentioned above (the only other time I'd suggest 1k a day is either if you need weight loss for a operation or if you need to cut weight as you need to be 10lbs lighter for a fight lol).

Then binge.

Stay the hell away from cous cous! Refined carbs are nasty when you are trying to cut for most. :) There are people that can eat junk food and lose weight if they eat under maintenance, but for most people who are overweight, our bodies do not work like that.

For working out, all you need to do is to get your body moving for 30min - 1 hour 3x - 5x a week, go to the gym and jump on a bike for 1 hour, even on a slow or medium speed. The important thing is the calories burnt not if you're knackered (which puts a lot of people off of working out).

Probably the easiest way to burn calories is cycling, followed by running (HIIT not included as 20 mins of hell cannot be maintained by the average gymmer).

Ive put 4 stone back on in about 2 months and now back to heavy drinking all is not good in churchy land.

Need to get back to working out butcant motivate myself and the drink is taking hold againso disappointed with myself only good point is still not smoking havent gone back to that

thinking of trying to follow that insanity workout thing to get a bit of motivation just need to stay sober long enough :D

I did p90x for just short of 2 weeks but couldn't keep up, my body just gave up after 10-11 days.. it's intense workout for people who are already fit and want to push to the next level - Insanity is much the same.. I'd look for something less demanding.

I did both and recommend them both for beginners. Used them before I had my gym membership and it helped me gain some definition and improved my resting heart beat.

lulz no way near brah, still got a belly. Hopefully be much better when I lose another 10/15 pounds!

I was watching the programme about Jodie Marsh the other night. She said hello to a guy (Rick Waters) at a competition. I used to workout in the same gym. Made me feel very small. lol

Also keep your carbs below 50 i.e. breads, and stay away from refined carbs like white bread, white pasta etc, even potatoes. Keep sugars low apart from sugar from fruits, just try to eat clean basically.

You can move around 1000, say if you eat upto 1400 then it's probably fine really, so if you are feeling a bit low on 1000, eat some more.

Buzzing for another session tomorrow. 4 in 4 so far.

Did some new workouts on the cables today and my bis looked good. Triceps getting big and defined too.

Just make sure you mix up cables with preacher and concentration on the bench makes them look fuller :)

Cant get a proper session in currently feel like I'm slacking due to lack of car since mine kinda blew up.

Still managed to whack out a fairly quick sharp session of shoulders/back last night though and I love it when you get that pump Dt and you're right it doesnt happen much lol

I started seriously dieting mid December and I've gone from 97kg to 71kg today - about 4 stone lost.

I had about a month where I didnt eat so clean and plateaued but now I'm back on it. Im finding weight loss progress has slowed but this could be because I'm working with weights more lately.

I've mostly been keeping quite a big calorie deficit 800-1200, I have an active job and I've started running and cycling, and now basic weight training (3 times a week total body routine).

I'm fairly happy with the progress I've made but finding it hard to stop dieting because im still carrying a fair amount of fat, bio electical scales say 15% but I suspect its more like 18%.

What I cant decide is whether to keep dieting and doing cardio to increase daily deficits or try to eat just above maintenance and really get into weights, work on changing body composition rather than just losing 'weight'.

Any suggestions welcome!

Think I'm going to make it a second chest session of the week.

Feel like smashing out 102.5kg on pectorial/butterflies and then a measly 70kg chest press wut. Follow it up with 300 calories on a the rowing machine and 100-200 sit ups on the abdominal machine @ 60kg. Maybe a swim after.

And then hit town tonight and hopefully repeat last weeks antics. #ballsohard
