I can understand where Lamps and Co are coming from in regards to Friendlies.

Having one the same week you begin your competitive season just seems a little, bab. Especially when morale in the camp must be shocking.

The FA have only arranged it so they can finally start paying off having ot re-lay the turf 7-million times!!

The FA haven't arranged them, as it's a FIFA-sanctioned date for friendlies - the friendlies have been known about for ages. However, the FA should have taken a leaf out of other country's Associations (Spain, Italy and Germany for example) and pushed the start of the domestic leagues back by a week.

Okay not directly organised but someway or another it always falls back to the FA.

In terms of taking leaves of out peoples books, all I can say it Jabulani.

Do you mean why didn't we use the ball when other countries did? That's because the Premier League signed a multi-year deal with Nike to be the official supplier of match balls, and had no way of reneging on the deal.

No I understand the Premier League contract. Still had the choice to use it in Friendlies.

But whatever, they winged about the ball. I am merely making a point.

Arsenal for the title. Leeds for the Champ title.

Oh yes it is!

LOL... Have a look at the WikI page...... i think there has been some editing in the past 15 minutes!

"They are nicknamed the 'Spud Killers', 'Die Yid Die' and 'Huddlestone is a fat tard'. Their famous exploits include slaying the fat dragon Thomas Huddlestone in the UEFA Champions League 3rd round qualifiers."

Probably a bitter Man Tiny fan! :p

I think it will probably be a draw but I'm hopeful of the win. Don't think Cesc or Van Persie will be fully fit and we're missing a few others so it's a difficult opener, then again we only really need Arshavin at Anfield :p

Guv, seeing as you've never been in the Champions League before, won't you be one of the lowest seeded teams? A bit of a group of death on the cards imo.
#26
Can't wait for tonight. have no how we will do this season after winning league one last season but I hope we can do what Leicester done last year and get a play off postion but I feel a mid table finish may be more realistic postion for us though. But the championship is always hard to predict.

My wager wasn't that we were going to win it (I leave that to delusionists).... I was merely offering a wager on not getting knocked out PRIOR to group stages as was suggested.

I'm mad... not a fool!

I read Arsenal fans as being the same as our predictions. In honesty I'd want any of our british teams winning it, good for UK football, though my heart obviously wouldn't prefer a united win.

Yeh I guess it was..... I had in mind the previous comment when I read it.

Its correct to say we wont be seeded, but most would want to avoid as well.
