Recently I've been having a lot of trouble sleeping and though it would be a good idea to start an official Man City thread ... so here it is.

Please feel free to post any news you may feel is of interest even if you think nobody else will find it interesting (Must be about Man City of course)

All other threads relating to Man City in future will be SPAMMED.

Please do not talk about banned/suspended members.

P.S Anyone know of any remedies for loss of sleep or even the official term for this condition? Google isn't helping.

Are you trying to suggest United have bought their success with that comment?! Any money United have spent in recent years has been bourne out of the success achieved through the early premiership years with the homegrown talents of Beckham,Giggs,Scholes,Nevilles,Butt etc..., the famous "you'll never win anything with kids" team. Winning trophies means you can then reap the monetary benefits and we have had every right to! Slightly different to buying a whole new team who have previously not won a trophy in over 30 years!! Anyway im sure you are just peeved after we beat your lot yesterday, especially after your pathetic Vidic thread the day before :-)

he's spent more or less at least £20 million on players every season since 98. And the team of kids also had expensive players in it such as Cantona, Keane, Cole, Yorke etc

And yeah I am peeved you lot beat us yesterday, the Ref bottled it by not sending O'Shea off

Cantona cost £1.2 million, hardly expensive!!
I thought you may have some excuse for the result, he could also have given a penalty for the numerous times carragher and skrtel had a hold of rooney/berbatovs shirt in the box. Apart from a crazy 5 min spell we dominated the match and should have won by alot more, still 3 points is still 3 points.

Please stick to thread topic.

We do not want the low grade, debt ridden, smaller Manchester based club being spoke about.

This thread is strictly for the high rollers

£1.2 in 1991 was relatively a lot of money, how come he was the only player you responded to?! What about Yorke, Cole etc

Players of both sides pull shirts in the box at corners etc, its part of the game, and the ref never gives a peno for it. At least you agree that O'Shea should have been sent off, I was sitting in the Gods and even from there I could see it was a cast iron red card
#23
How can you be peeved you got beat? you had 2 shots on target, a penelty and a free kick, its not like it was a hard fought comeback, your chances were handed to you.

Fair point that we didn't carve out that many chances, but of course its hard to come from 2 nil down at Old Trafford and then for the Ref to fail to send a utd player off when it was a clear red card was a game changing moment. The momentum would have been in our favour and against ten men you don't know what would have happened (well O'shea wouldn't have been on the pitch to deliver that cross for the third goal for one)

I've not heard 1 single pundit agree with you. The pass was misdirected and overhit - VDS would have got there easily, and clearly.

Well possibly Phil Thompson the big nosed over bias bafoon.

In fairness, it was a sending off after watching the replay (I was also in the gods) and at the time I was watching the ball and only out the corner of my eye did i see what happened and my initial though was torres tried to run across him, but it wasn't webb who saw it, it was the linesman and I've since read that webb said the only reason O'Shea didn't go was becuase it was an off the ball incident (which is rubbish becuase if you punch someone in the face you get sent off, simple as)

Glenn Hoddle and Rednapp both said it was a penelty.

This was referring to red card, not penalty. It was defo a pen, a needless one but it was a pen.

He was talking out of his **** there, as if it was an off-the-ball incident, it should have been an indirect free kick, as O'Shea stopped his opponent from getting to the ball (kind of like obstruction).

I concur
This is true and a bit odd; and saying that as a fully blue blooded City fan.
Although, it's full name is 'Elite Development Squad'
