Looks like Big Eck's time is up at Villa

King Kenny and Steve Clarke have flown off to America for talks with FSG

Villa fans are just waiting for the club statement confirming McLeish exit.

Fully expect us to go to Carrow Road for our next manager.

As much as I'd think Lambert would be a good step I can't think why he'd want to leave Norwich, it's not as if he'd be given a huge pot to spend so not really an attractive switch imo.

The club is rapidly becoming an embarrassment to support these days from the top down.

Would Lambert want to make the step down though??

Seriously though, I can see you going back in for Roberto Martinez. Would be good to see him at a 'bigger' club, to see if he then be capable of going on to manage a top-side in the future.

My two cents for the Summer...
Tevez to leave for Inter/Milan/Juve/PSG/Real
Hazard to join City
Dempsey to join Liverpool
M'Vila to join Arsenal
RVP to stay at Arsenal
#6
Gagawa i mean Kagawa to Utd (not official)
Podolski to Arsenal (pretty much offical)
Snijder to stay at Inter
Marko Marin to Chealse (official)

Goal.com say he's been sacked but then say it's from the BBC who don't confirm it.

betting suspended too.

It's all about 8 months too late though. :(

The board need to take a good long look at themselves as they are entirely to blame for the mess we are in now.

Can see Tevez staying, Dempsey joining Arsenal and RVP going. I'd say the other two are nailed on though.

Was hopping that we'd make a move for Giuseppe Rossi (especially seeing as Villareal have been relegated) but now he's done his ACL again, he'd be a big risk for any team.

Why would it be a step down? Despite the horrible season we have had we are still a bigger club than Norwich and I think he would come to us. Remember he left Colchester to join Norwich days after beating them 7-1 so he has history there!

Martinez would be a decent shout. There is a couple of Wigan lads who are out of contract and would probably follow him which would fit in with the reported lack of cash to invest at Villa!

Whatever happens I really do pity fans of the next club McLeish turns up at.

Who knows to LFC hoping for Adam Johnson and Luke De Jong, but more like to get Dempsey :(
#11
Selling Rossi, along with Pique and Stam, has to be one of Fergies biggest regrets. He was never given a chance to shine.
What players from the relegated clubs do you think will remain in the Prem?
Matt Jarvis, Steven Fletcher, Junior Hoilett, Michael Kightly are 4 that I can think of at the top of my head..
#12
Please get rid of Tevez as he is nothing but a spoilt little child who is also a very good footballer.

Dempsey has had a really good season. Wouldn't be a bad signing. He would certainly bring more goals and assists than Mr Downing has supplyed this season!!

Most sites confirming his sacking now, at l east the board have got the timing right and leaves us with time to get the right person this time.

Think it will be described as left by mutual consent..... but we all know what that really means!!!

Why would it be a step down?

It was a joke X)

Although they did finish 9 points ahead of you.

I'd rather have Dempsey over either of those to be honest Ad. Johnson is a great 'Match of the Day' player, and I'm not convinced by what I've seen of De Jong.

There are a few decent-priced players about who we've been linked with....

Elm
Belhanda
Nilmar
Holtby
Diame
Lass Diarra
Ramirez
Hoillet
Affeley
Sahin
Adebayor

Yep, you need a full pre-season for a manager to prepare. I think that's why Kenny has been called over to America, so that owners can either back him or sack him (or move him upstairs) as early on as possible.

Also Enrique to leave Liverpool for a top 5 team.

Guthrie, Simpson, Best, Ranger, Harper and Lovenkrands all set to leave NUFC.

Along with Ba, Cisse, Cabaye and Ben Arfa... if the price is right :p

I think we should just spend the bulk of our transfer budget on Graham Carr tbh and see what he can do with whats left.

Kidding right Dempseys what 29 going on thirty by march next year. Think that will be another null signing. We need a striker and another natural winger.
#21
£35 million for Lennon and £62.4 million for Zamora then Adam ;)

LFC Wont sign Dempsey, he is too old for FSG'S policy.

Would love Liverpool to get Adam Johnson though, would be a great buy but cant see it happening.

I can always rely on you for a good laugh, another winger and another striker, how about a decent manager to manage the ones you already have?

Liverpool are getting nothing to spend by all accounts, looking at his signings so far I can see why.

With the highest chance rate in the league with lowest conversion why is not logical to suggest we aint putting them away?
Also we have only one natural winger?

I'm confused by your statement two finals in one year when basically we changed every approach. Rome was built in a day right?

The man has worked wonders with a limited budget. Mind saying that why other clubs didn't go for Cisse as his scoring record prior to joining us was phenomenal.

Pardew said on local radio it would take mega money to prize away the clubs top players. He also confirmed Ba had a release clause in his contract.

It baffles me too. There are lots of very, very good players over there, in a league that's more similar to ours than possibly any other, but it's only now that clubs are starting to tap into it.

Just been confirmed that Barton is leaving Rangers. Agents have confirmed his move to Sesame Street to be completed within the week.

Aston Villa can confirm that Alex McLeish's contract has been terminated with immediate effect.

Can't think of many better Mondays I have had lately.

Anyone know the value of the Manchester City XI value v Manchester United XI value?

Rumours flying around that Kennys walked.

Can't see him walking, relieved of his duties or a move 'upstairs' maybe. Would be very surprised if he is though.

People putting his meeting with the owners into 2+2=5 I would presume.

Is the betting still open on him, that's usually a good indication.

Already being linked with Martinez. X)

When you say value do you mean money paid for players? Or what they are worth currently?

If it is the latter there is definitely a website for this....

I just can't remember the URL

Who killed Kenny?

Tbh it's probably the best thing that could happen to Liverpool football club. The results have been poor, but his handling of things like Suarez has been appalling.

Have to disagree with the first bit. You can't change a team in a year.

But he hasn't changed them at all in that year, really. The four big signings he made have been awful. If you was Henry would you give him more funds. I'd be very wary.

Correct me if i'm wrong but isn't the Newcastle job the only job he didn't walk out on?

If you watched every Liverpool game over ninety minutes you would disagree with that.

2 Cup finals is better. The league performance could of been totally different based on the above, we have dominated most games and failed to score, few changes I still think it will be a different team.

Also you have to ask yourself who would seriously improve Liverpool as a manager now? Pep if he's suddenly interested in stress?
