As much as I'd think Lambert would be a good step I can't think why he'd want to leave Norwich, it's not as if he'd be given a huge pot to spend so not really an attractive switch imo.

The club is rapidly becoming an embarrassment to support these days from the top down.

Seriously though, I can see you going back in for Roberto Martinez. Would be good to see him at a 'bigger' club, to see if he then be capable of going on to manage a top-side in the future.

Goal.com say he's been sacked but then say it's from the BBC who don't confirm it.

betting suspended too.

It's all about 8 months too late though. :(

The board need to take a good long look at themselves as they are entirely to blame for the mess we are in now.

Can see Tevez staying, Dempsey joining Arsenal and RVP going. I'd say the other two are nailed on though.

Was hopping that we'd make a move for Giuseppe Rossi (especially seeing as Villareal have been relegated) but now he's done his ACL again, he'd be a big risk for any team.

Why would it be a step down? Despite the horrible season we have had we are still a bigger club than Norwich and I think he would come to us. Remember he left Colchester to join Norwich days after beating them 7-1 so he has history there!

Martinez would be a decent shout. There is a couple of Wigan lads who are out of contract and would probably follow him which would fit in with the reported lack of cash to invest at Villa!

Whatever happens I really do pity fans of the next club McLeish turns up at.

Selling Rossi, along with Pique and Stam, has to be one of Fergies biggest regrets. He was never given a chance to shine.
What players from the relegated clubs do you think will remain in the Prem?
Matt Jarvis, Steven Fletcher, Junior Hoilett, Michael Kightly are 4 that I can think of at the top of my head..

Dempsey has had a really good season. Wouldn't be a bad signing. He would certainly bring more goals and assists than Mr Downing has supplyed this season!!

I'd rather have Dempsey over either of those to be honest Ad. Johnson is a great 'Match of the Day' player, and I'm not convinced by what I've seen of De Jong.

Yep, you need a full pre-season for a manager to prepare. I think that's why Kenny has been called over to America, so that owners can either back him or sack him (or move him upstairs) as early on as possible.

Kidding right Dempseys what 29 going on thirty by march next year. Think that will be another null signing. We need a striker and another natural winger.
