i think we (pool) shud go for rvp!!!! he'd beamazing at us to be fair, hope they dont get villa, he wilbe so good in the prem, we shud break the bank and pair him up with torres to be honest, no matter how much it would cost

Sad news, First Ronaldo and now Tevez, Both fans favourites.

He was never a great goalscorer but a great player.

replacing two players settled in the prem with 2 or more who havent played before... might struggle this yr!

Absolutely gutted. Tevez might not have been a prolific goalscorer but he did what many great strikers dont do...defend from the front. Tevez or Berbatov? Tevez every time.

Agreed. Tevez is a superb player. His workrate is phenominal. I would say its a shame that Berbatov doesn't use the same ethics.... but I wouldn't mean it! :w00t:

The pic above just about sums up the workrate and commitment that Tevez provides. What other player would attempt to block a clearance with a diving header.

It makes me feel better though that it was his decision to turn down a 5 year contract. l rather than the club failing to offer him a decent contract. Make no mistake about it, his move away from United is purely driven by £££££££'s. If he wants to be successful and win medals then United should have been the only club he could have chosen IMO.

At least that saves us 25 million and 100 grand a week in wages. Lets hope we can put this money into buying a decent forward who can get us 20 - 30 goals a season.

Kia Joorabchian....you sir are nothing but a money grabbing ******* !!!!

Villa is supposed to be stayin at Valencia now!!???
DEFINITELY think that LFC should do everything they can 2 sign him.
We're never gonna have a better chance than if we had him n Torres up front.
Why is it EVERONE see's this except Benitez???

17.24 David Villa's agent has claimed that the Valencia striker will not be sold this summer, which will come as a major blow to Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea, who were all interested in the Spain international

10-1 ON to join City.
Not sure what to make of that........

I actually think we should sign owen (On a free) but only as a back up striker.
Still need another world class striker as well as Torres

Also ... Manchester City will reportedly make a £12million bid for Arsenal's Kolo Toure, now that The Gunners have finalised their deal for Ajax's Thomas Vermaelen

I just get the feeling that even if he was a quad player he would play out of his skin at every opportunity because he still has an england career to play for as well as his club career and i do believe that with a good run of games and an injury free spell that he could score goals and become first choice.

im gutted its tevez leaving and not berba.

Toure aint going anywhere, gallas probably will.
#17
gallas is useless anyway and probably one of the worst captains I have ever seen.

he is a decent player but no longer the quality that they top four are after. He hasnt really done a lot at arsenal.

quite possibly, welcome to the world of Liverpool FC.
Hopefully we won't be struggling for 20 years tho

Gutted to see him go. But he was too expensive, no one would want to pay that much for him.

I really think Berbatov will play really well this season coming, we just need another world class striker. Also need a couple more players to replace scholes and giggs.

im a man utd fan and i think berbatov is well out of his depth at united. He did nothing last season and there is no excuse for that, especially when you pay £30 million for a player. he drops to deep and poses no threat. Yes he has a great touch and can create space but he is essentially a centre forward, his work in the final third is poor.
