Daughters playgroup have a "travelling ted"-its a stuffed bear in a suitcase, complete with pyjamas to change into at night,a camera to record what its been up to and a diary for it to write.

She has been waiting months for it to come around to her turn and finally she gets it for the weekend,so we were reading the diary from the other children and it has been to the park, been to paris, even gone skydiving with one parent.

So we were discussing what he could do over the weekend he was staying here while we were making lunch, came back into the living room to discover that I now need to write in teds diary "got 2 paws ripped off by a dalmation"

Mrs barky will kill me(of course the dalmy will be blameless because its her dog and I should have known better)

oops!

never seen one like it-will need to head to build a bear when mrs barky gets home

The bear has been all around the world and taking part in some extreme sports and gets mauled by a dog locally. I wouldn't like to explain that one to the playgroup.
#5
Say it got kidnapped and had its paws removed as part of some sort of torture. Then make up some story about it escaping via helicopter. I am sure some photoshop expert can help corroborate your story with some "photos" :P

I am sorry but that is the most amusing thing I have heard all week :)

Oh dear !........is it not repairable? .........anyone good at sewing in your household? then maybe buy some new gloves to disguise the scars !!, .........My son has the same sort of thing at school and when we had 'Barnaby bear' the worst that happened to him was our 'Randy rampant rabbit ' took a shine to him and was continuenly humping it oO, ( we never recorded that in the diary though ) X
Good luck in finding an imposter bear , lol

the camera isnt built into the bear-its one of them kiddie vtech ones that comes in the case with it-the kids have to take pics of it enjoying the weekend with them-dont think ted will have enjoyed this weekend lol!

Ok heres the story. You all went to the zoo but cos the lttle bear was so excited he ran off and got too close to the lions cage.
Theres some good H&S lessons there. Then he had to go to hospital to be fixed.

Get Mrs Barky to knit him some mittens, after all, you did go to iceland for the weekend. Cos he didnt have gloves, his paws fell off. So your wife being the nice person that she is knitted him some (frostbite in bears does terrible things), just make sure they are stitched onto his paws.
#26
How bad is the damage ? can he be mended

Poor ted should've had a couple of body guards with him, lol

lol,
If that'd work, ie disguise the damage, just say you took him shopping and he picked out some nice mittens for winter as the weather's getting colder.
#27
Tell them he lost a Light Saber duel

you should take it's photo outside an A and E :p and put bandages round its paws, hehe!
#32
Use a needle and thread and sew the arms back on.
#33
You will have to go to Childrens court (the classroom) and admit leaving him unattended with a dangerous animal. Would not like to know what your sentence will be.
Other than that consider leaving the country.

We need a picture of the offending culprit.

love it pmsl

Bet you make the wife take the young one to playgroup next week.
You will be eaten alive by all those mums with crying children.

I shall buy another bear tomorrow -its beyond reasonable repair-I think the dalmy also ate quite a bit of its stuffing-as I suspected I have been lectured by mrs barky about leaving the bear in a room with "poor domino" "what did I expect" blah blah-anyone any idea how long dalmations live for?
#38
pics or your lying

:)

Brilliant! Things like that usually happen to me - so glad I'm not alone! Hope you manage to get it sorted though - kids can be a bit OCD so god help you when you take it back X)
