Go say sorry, you'll feel better.
Accidents happen.

I would say sorry first hun as they may have another or have a specific one they have seen a deal on etc, just before you spend money way may not have to :) xx

Say Sorry , offer to have it repaired, or have a new cable put on.
Replacement maybe, I say maybe over the top but then cable can get expensive.
So it depends on make and price to replace hedge cutter.

you can buy a cable thing, like a little plastic box theat reconnects the cable and safely encloses it, b&q and places liek that probably sell them.
i've done it beofer with lawnmowers and trimmers.

i did that with our lawnmower cable & hubby put wires together again but it still doesn't work (it did for about 10 mins then there was a load of smoke coming out of it so i think it was hubby that really broke it  )
#7
Just take it back and complain that there is something wrong with it :w00t:
#8
I would go round apologize, explain what has happened and offer to buy a new one :)
#9
how many wires are there inside your cable?

i f you buy them a new one you could repair the broken one and keep it for youself, no need to borrow your neighbours again:thumbsup:

Just say sorry first

Then ask what they would like you to do?

Suggest putting a box on it
Replacing cable
Or if need be buying a new one.

Accidents happen, just let them choose which option then there will be no comebacks

I did that the first time I used mine.
Not done it since though.

If they just want it to be fixed it's easy to do - either get a little plastic box like this: http://www.choiceful.com/choiceful-id-2478-2Pin-10A-Orange-Nylon-Flex-Connector.html or this: http://www.screwfix.com/prods/16262/Electrical-Supplies/Cable-Accessories/Cable-Connectors/Rubber-Cable-Connector - or replace the cable altogether.

EDIT - look out for a 3-pin block rather than the 2-pin one if you have an earth cable as well as the live and neutral.
Also if it doesn't have an RCD plug then it might be worth getting one to plug into.

May be your neighbour has already come to know.... Are you sure he is not a member n HUKD...

Hubby did that last year.

We replaced the cable - explained when we returned it, but didn't ask beforehand.

Can't see why you'd need to replace the hedgecutters though?

LOL super glue it :w00t:

Just wrap all the cord around the handle, take it back and say thanks very much:whistling:

Not really:-D

I would just offer to replace it, and repair the old one and keep it myself.
Just be thankful you are unhurt :)
