Hi

My daughter desperately wanted a pair of Kaiser Chiefs Converses for her birthday.
The only place we could find them was a U.S site.

As she wanted them so much I had to stump up the $70 delivery charge to get them here.

But, in her excitement to get them she used the wrong size conversion chart and they don't fit!!!!

So that's £60 wasted and I'm going to have a really mad daughter in my face when she gets home (and on my birthday too).

Of course, it'll all be MY fault.

Anyway, the point of my post is:

It'd probably cost me a fortune to mail them back to the U.S (and they don't have a replacement in her size)so do you think it would be worth putting them up on Ebay or something?

I have never sold anything on Ebay before.

http://www.footlocker.com/catalog/productdetail/model_nbr--84676/sku--1007321/cm--GLOBAL%20SEARCH%3A%20KEYWORD%20SEARCH/

They are size 3 and a half..........may be too small to even find a buyer.

Ugh.

Taking her to a Kaiser Chiefs concert next month...........hopefully they'll be selling merchandise there and I can make things up with my daughter.

Damn, she wanted these shoes so much.:x

Why don't you try to sell on here? You have the receipt they haven't even been tried on so you could get lucky.

Thanks, sorry I am not too familiar with the way this board works yet.
Appreciate the feedback folks.

It's not so much the cost that bothers me but my daughters disappointment.
Checking around various stores and the only Converses available seem to be large mens sizes :x

You might be able to sell them here: http://www.kaiserchiefs.co.uk/message-board/index.php

Just a thought :)

Ask on that board as well if anyone wants to swap ???

Moved to misc.

Contact footlocker and enquire as to their returns policy. It may not cost as much as you think to ship them back.

Being such a small size and a restricted target market I would be suprised if they sold on ebay, but you never know.

Good luck, we try our best for them and look what happens.

Good idea and contact the band with your (sob) story :) and ask them would they mind signing the converses to make up for your incompetence, lol.

Bet they would too !

Damn $70 to ship them over, thats crazy.

If you returned by regular Airmail plus Signed for ( £3.50 extra I think it is ) they def wouldn't cost £35 ish to send them back.

26 pairs ... damn I've not even got 26 items of shoes and items of clothing to make up 26,nevermind just boots!

have you tried contacting Footlocker in the UK? They may be able to help you...
#17
As she wanted them so much I had to stump up the $70 delivery charge to get them here.

You didn't HAVE to do it.
So that's £60 wasted

Lesson learned?

@hottoshop and donnydude

Yes, my daughter practically lives at the Kaisers forums/store........most of her Christmas gifts came from their store.

Maybe I'll ask her to post about it at the forum........maybe she knows someone who can make use of them.

Then again, she's so wrapped up in this blooming band she may wanna frame the blooming things and keep them

Oh well, new mobile phone I ordered for her has just arrived----------may deflect the flak for 5 minutes :whistling:

These kids are sooooooooo expensive :?
#19
Sounds silly but have you checked they cant be returned to a English footlocker store.

A retailer I used to work for which was global would process a refund in any country with a original sales reciept

She's a good kid, works hard at school....doesn't hang with gangs and all that stuff............no I didn't HAVE to.........but it was all she wanted for her birthday and the U.S was the only means of getting what she wanted.

Its not my place to comment but.....

ARE YOU HAVING A LAUGH?
You've spent $70 + cost of trainers to get them shipped here and your daughter is going to be anry with you? Its her fault that she ordered the wrong side and you should be angry with her for wasting your time and money. Seems like she's got a phone and some other bits to keep her busy!
#22
I processed the order so it's my fault for not spotting the error..........she went thru the wrong conversion table....an easy oversight.

Anyway, phoned Bristol store but nobody home, will try again later.

@crow99..........my parenting skills are not the question, it's how to resolve the matter that is the point.:p

With regards to your parenting skills thats not for me to comment on I'm just surprised that you think its your fault and that she is going to give you flak on your bday for it.
To be fair if its not relevant and you dont want comment to be made on it you shouldnt have posted that much detail

I did try to help with saying check they can't be returned to a UK store..

Yes, trying to contact the Bristol store and I have also emailed Footlocker.
My daughter will be mad at me not because it's my fault but through disappointment.

Being mad at dad, isn't that the only thing teenagers do? :-D

i remember when i saw them at doncaster dome and chris moyles' rendition of donny donny donny. was a great night!
