OH NO - Stock Cubes Shortage, argghhhh

Just been to Tesco and there seems to be a terrible shortage of ham stock cubes. Really. They won't be in stock until 5th Feb - my homemade soup can't wait that long!!!

It's not just the Knorr ones - tesco's own are out of stock too, and the ready made stock, and the concentrate. There just doesn't seem to be ham stock in any format available anywhere round here (well not in Tesco anyway) :(

So are people buying it up to flog on fleabay? Is there a national shortage? Has everyone decided to make soup today? Are Knorr trying a publicity stunt? Has the ham stock market crashed? Are ham stockcubes the new wii???

Please post your stock cube availability updates here - I need my soup!!

does that not tell you that its all probably made by the same company then
next time dont bother paying for "knorr's" name. just get the cheapo stuff.

i use them lots as well although i can live without them for a short while if necessary. i mainly shop at morrisons so i will have a look tomorrow.

lol Tesco getting their own back.
Stock cubes/gravy from supermarkets is seriously bad for you anyway.
They have very high concentrates of sodium in.

As admin says, make your own, easy and healthier. :)

MAKE MY OWN??? What, in these modern days of microwaves, broadband and cheap taxis homemade soup doesn't need to be 'homemade', heaven forbid. I want stock cubes and I want them NOW!!! Knorr are ruining my life here :x

Yeah, the person who posted it was a real heroine, it was a cracking deal. I got down there with great speed, but it my ecstasy turned into a downer when their stock had gone to pot. Still, I managed to get some really magic mushrooms and some coke on bogoff. You can't beat free joints though!

A member of staff in Sainsburys told me he had a woman in who had just returned from Canada and there was a problem! Knorr seemingly recalled all Ham Stock Cubes.
Not sure if this is ham or not! Just passing it on.
