Well it gets to the vista loading screen, (with the bar scrolling across) then the screen blacks out, as if it is about to load but then the BSOD comes up with a error message but by the time i try to read it, it just restarts, ive tried takin a picture but i failed that many times i gave up. I have ran a memory test, and tried to restore to an earlier date, but to no avail

yeah its basically not wanting to change. people who dont want change or dont like something will look for as many possible reasons as they can to put it downnnn...they then gather support from like minded people hence mob mentality!

anyways lets not sidetrack from the main issue loll

ok, so it loads up in safe mode atleast..right?

do you have any security software installed? was it upto date?

you can also turn off auto reboot on blue screen, so with that error message we can start to get somewhere

Insert the Vista disk on start up make sure it boots from the DVD drive then it will give you repair options in there, select repair startup or something like that. Done it tons of times when I mess up the Boot table.

ok ive got to go now but id really like to pick this up again.

you still havnt answered whether you had security software on here...HOWEVER...

what im thinking is...

power failure
RAM fault
or maybe just flash the bios...however lose all your work doing this!!

to flash the bios you need to open it up and a flat battery will be on the motherboard, like the battery's they use in watches silver but bigger and more flat.

lift it out and replace same one again.

this is a last resort though and what you need to do is take it to a pc repair shop DO NOT GO PC WORLD
they cost a **** load instead go to a locals and tell him of the issue and see what he says and how much he'll charge.

it needs a hands on approach and unfortunately cant give that

Not sure which one you've seen so I'll throw my suggestion in which is a free CD based Windows system:

http://www.ubcd4win.com/

It gives you a Windows like environment with full support for NTFS with a large variety of tools as well as its own bootloader for testing memory and similar.
