He's asked for "any tips/ideas/experiences?"

I'm merely asking why he bought it if he has no idea what he wants to use it for!

Its a genuine question tbh.

So is it something you might want to be updateable via a management system by you - or others on the fly?

Give an example link for what you are trying to achieve. Its a bit vague, though it sounds like a CMS package might be what youre after.

Just look at the wordpress or joomla packages. Sounds like what you want.

You will need to find a web host. I recommend www.34sp.com

Before getting a webhost, download XAMPP or WAMPP and try out different things on your computer.
XAMPP/WAMPP make your computer act like a web server, so you can try out scripts like WordPress or Joomla on your computer, develop your site etc without having to pay hosting fees.

Once you've got what you want working on your computer, find some cheap hosting (I can provide many of these) and then upload your finished site.

BitterWallet is a blog, and the most popular blogging platform is WordPress so you might want to start with that - linky
On the WordPress site there's LOADS of free WordPress themes to get started with, and then you can customise into how you want it.

Once you've bought the hosting, you'll need to edit the nameservers on your domain by logging into its control panel (so that the domain name links up with the hosting space).

As above, look at wordpress.... Free and easily customisable.... Set up a free wordpress account at www.wordpress.com to test it. Then when your ready you can install it on hosting and assign your domain name to it.

I'm just setting up a site of the same calibre of yours (on different subject) so if you want some help, then holler me
