The Who, Live At Leeds. Fantastic album from start to finish, and Pete does so many things with his guitar that you simply don't hear these days. It's some brilliant stuff.

Was never a big "Who" fan... but remember seeing Pete Townsend on .... the squeeze pianist,.. ouch, drinkin'.. anyway.. playing acoustic solo.. was very impressed... think it was the energy.. god that sounds crass... but ..it was.

Is that a recommendation...? I like Linkin park and Limpizkit? Slipknot seemed a bridge too far on the heavy side..

I like stuff like this... but if you like Gary Moore... Collosseum 2 was a favourite of mine... not bluesy... more jazz rock... but his guitar work is phenomenal on the 3 albums he did... especially "electric savage"

its not pete "doing many things with his guitar", its John Entwistle thats creating the magic.
if you can check out sky arts they sometimes show a programe about john, which is eye opening.
an truely underated bass guitarist (not bass player)
