Guess you can microwave them too, but as far as I knew they went in the toaster.

You take them out of the packet and put them on a low heat in the toaster? :)

I thought it was in the toaster, x

Never touched the things but the bags are probably metallic, i.e. should not be microwaved, hence the warning.

The toaster is the most common way, but I guess they're just warning idiots out there not to put anything metallic in a microwave!

I'm sure when Pop Tarts hit the shops years ago they were done in the toaster.I think nowadays ,there still done in the toaster but you put them in one of those specials carbon coloured bags and then place in the toaster.

so why have you stopped thinking they go in the toaster?

edit: sorry i get it now....my brain doesnt do daft so well in the mornings

I'm pretty sure the reason for them called "pop" tarts is the fact they pop up from the toaster?
#16
The reason you can't microwave them is because the bag that you toast them in is foiled lined and would feck the microwave just like any other metal item. Hannah + poptart = FAIL:giggle:

It's just the health and safety brigade acting on stupidness, someone has probably sued because they microwaved them in the bag and now they are covered with that warning.

You can toast them, but only for probably half the time it takes to toast bread.

Or you can microwave them for about 30secs, but take them out of the metallic looking sealed bag and place on a plate.

Do you also need to know how to boil an egg
