I ordered something and it's coming via Parcelforce tomorrow.

However, I just got an email and it says on the order the next door to mine. Not my house.

Is there anything I can do? They close at 7..

speak to your neighbour??

They're never in. as in, once a week at most (think they have another house)

I am afraid you are probably going to have to be brave and face the real world - knock your neighbour and explain
#5
Hang around in their garden all day?

am i missing something, its a parcel?

If the neighbours are never in then Parcel Force may knock on your door to sign for it??

I'm guessing that even if you wait until the morning though it will be too late to change the address as it will be out for delivery, still worth a try though. Probably best to speak to your neighbour and explain, or hang around for the driver yourself, armed with lots of ID showing your name and address and try to talk him around to letting you sign for it, they leave things with the next house all the time so he shouldn't have a problem as long as they know where he left it. Good luck!

Someone in your house must of been going to stay in & wait for it, case of watching for the van to turn up, taking out a copy of the invoice, proof of who you are and im sure they will hand it over to you

Do you think they will? I have the invoice and my driving licence.

That's exactly what I would do, but maybe if you call the company they can put a call through to the driver to confirm?
#13
stick a note on the neighbours door saying "please deliver next door" with the invoice ref number etc. on it

Post a note through your neighbours door explaining what happened

sounds good, i'll call parcelforce at 8 and the company at 9 (when they open)

I printed the invoice out too.

Could possibly just be an error in the e-mail considering invoice says my exact address.

Im sure youll sort it with the advice youve been given, let us know tomorrow how you got on

I would NOT do this - imagine they came back! :w00t:

Note or no note through the letterbox, I would go bl**dy mad if you did this to me! You don't live in North/East London, do you? :giggle:

Well all my neighbours would be fine with that, we all look out for each other, take parcels in, put each others bins out, lend each other stuff etc. etc. Like it used to be in the old days, we are all in our early to mid 30's and we don't live in London, we live in Basingstoke :)

The way Tomm described it, it didn't sound like they were too close.
