I'd have to say Texas at the newcastle arena some time ago - technically perfect, like listening to a CD,

SOOOOOOOO DULLLLL.

also saw a thrash metal-ish sort of band years ago called "accept", they were truly awful, as i recall their single (which i bought, shame on me) was called "balls to the wall"

Second time I saw the strokes, they were truly terrible which is a shame as first time they were fantastic.

U2,

They were mildly entertaining until Bono started harping on about putting the world to rights and africa and such crap, not the place for it

Converge- hardcore metal, soooooo not my thing but went for my partner coz it's his favourite band, it was at The Music Box in Manchester, small underground venue with lots of sweaty bodie= not a very pleasant atmosphere!!!

On the flipside though CSS, Klaxons (both at The Ritz), Dizzee Rascal (Manchester Academy1) and Mariachi El Bronx (Club Academy) all very excellent shows! Bez made an appearance on stage with Dizzee Rascal for the encore awesome!!

i have seen Elbow, Keane, stereophonics, snow patrol and peter kay all were superb except for elbow support group, it wasnt their usual one it was some group from canada, they was crap

edit: the fiery furnaces was the name of the crap support band and it wasnt canada it was the usa

The support band for Lady GaGa. I thought they were obscene.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers - just so disappointing (at Pride Park)

Idlewild - support for U2 at Twickenham. simply terrible.

You were surprised??

Twisted wheel, i saw them support Oasis in Manchester. Really tried to like their music but think they failed to impress.

Biggest surprise for me was how good The Wombats are live. I was expecting them to be rubbish.

I saw the Chilis about 9 years ago and thought they were amazing!

I agree, saw the strokes supporting the foo fighters about 4 years ago. Really boring and you could tell that they could'nt care about being there.

And on that note, Foo Fighters were amazing.

Not sure if this counts, but there was a "gig" in a local pub.

Basically, it was a 70yr old with a guitar or banjo? And next to him a lady with a stick, and a boot on the top of the stick with symbols on the boot. She'd bash the stick on the ground and all 10+ songs were pretty much the same.

Still, it was probably better than Hanson (Mmmmbop)

Same as when I saw them. It was 4 years ago too at a smallish venue. Clearly didn't want to be there, Julian could barely be bothered to sing. So much better the first time at Leeds festival a few years previously and he had a broken leg!!

The worst was probably Crazyhead, absolutley shocking live! The most disapointing was probably Nirvana, i was a huge fan of bleach and saw then just after nevermind came out and they just failed to deliver.

I was unfortunate enough to see Jared Letos band "30 Seconds to Mars" a couple of years ago and they were dire. Leto was off his face and couldnt even speak, let along sing.

Pj and duncan. twice.

 once I could forgive you but TWICE??

Saw Thin Lizzy many moons ago with a free ticket and thought they were just a noise (but I was only young)
#22
Forgot to add I saw Blazin Squad in the Orient at the Trafford Centre once. What a horrible 20 minutes.
#23
Not including the plethora of rubbish support bands or non-signed bands: The Killers, The Strokes, Kings of Leon, The National, MGMT, Jay Z, Counting Crows, Doves

Worst ever was Tiesto in Glasgow a few years ago at the Carling Academy (Now the O2).
He couldnt have done a worse venue, the sound in the place was awful and he was awful as well so the night was a total disaster lol

Best was either the RHCP in Dublin, but cant remember the name of the park it was in, or the Bloody Beetroots in the Arches last year, that was immense :D

Marley park?

worst i'd say was Eric Clapton. He was technically brilliant, and i love his stuff. However the only two words he said the WHOLE gig was "thank you" after every song. Not even a hello. Nothing at all just thank you.
#29
Thats why i hate MUSE live.. you may as well just put the CD on.
#30
Ive seen alot of ****.
