My parents have given me a their old Panasonic Sky box with Sky card thinking that I could use it for my sons bedroom but he has a tv which is not connected to any source as he only uses it to watch dvds or play games on. Anybody know how or if I the sky box can be connected and would I get any channels with the sky card?

Thanks guys

doorstop?

if you can get a tv signal to it, you can access freeview as far as I know

May seem a bit obvious but assume you realise you will need a satellite dish etc to get a usable signal. Otherwise doorstop or sell via ebay or similar and let the lad have the cash.

What box is it - model etc?

I'd say ebay then put the cash towards a cheap freeview box and a ariel

We have sky + in the living room and aerial into the bedroom, but my sons bedroom is at the back of the house far away from any easy connections. Might ebay them, thanks for the suggestions.

if someone has an old dish they don't want you could connect it up and use it as freesat which gives you a lot more free channels then freeview. You will need to google freesat as you need to call them for the new free card to put in the box, i'm affaid i don;t know the website address.

The existing card will act as a FreesatfromSky Card, no need to buy another, another card will cost £20.

Just needs a connection to the dish/LNB.

Attach it to the back wheel of your push bike and hey presto your bike now sounds like a really really fast motorbike!
