I agree it's dispicible, however why would you not want your child to go back to nursery?

know how you feel, it really is so so awful. goes to show you just can't trust anyone, she looked nice and would have been ofsted cib checked checked, plus she was a mum of 2. I just don't understand how some people can be so sick, they must have a mental disorder, surely?

I'm glad I made the decision to be a childminder and stay at home to raise my 2, but you have to put trust in people at pre and primary school, scary

I know it is disgusting,
my daughter has just started nursery and makes you think twice about sending them.

Something like 90% of child abusers are a close family member or already known to the family.

It's awful, makes a mockery of the CRB checking system for sure....I've had 4 CRB checks in the last 2 years as I volunteer for school schemes and holiday clubs and they seem to be fairly thorough...it's just so important to make these checks on people around our children!!!

I'm lucky my sister is a nursery nurse and I sent mine to her nursery so I had piece of mind. I know this news would worry me if I wasn't so familiar with my child care provisions though.

my little girls nursery get you to sign a form to say that they are allowed to take pics on the nursery ground. it terriable to think that anything sinister would come from this, and the pics they take are all put up on a wall then shredded when they take them down.

I agree with everyone obviously!

Louise.123 my sons junior school used to do the same thing, but I've got to say it used to really p**s me off that I couldn't even video he plays because of the sicko's that are around!

What really bothers me though is that parents and family members still put pictures of their children on the internet ie profile pics, facebook, myspace ect

CRB checks are obviously only valid up to the day they are done, and different organisations have different rules for how often to get them re-done.

At work i have to get it updated every 3 years. IMO that's far too long

There are lots of paedos that don't get caught.......

Friends, family members, neighbours.......

They are out there everywhere wherever there are children. Remember as a child being taken to a holiday camp somewhere. Something like Haven. There was a guy there who was resident first aider who lived in a caravan on his own. My sister hurt her knee and my mum took her to see him. Then he was always about offering to take us out on trips in his car but would seem to touch my sister and my knees and legs a bit too often. My Mum didnt seem to notice but my Dad had a different picture of him. Cant remember what happened next . But keep an eye open all the time. Only way to deal with it.
