OMG.. M & S are now trying to charge me full price for a sale item i bought.

I ordered a mattress from M & S when they had the 20% off day.
They told me i would not get chrged till they were away to dispatch it.

Went in to my account to day as they did not accept my card payment and noticed they are now charging me the full amount.

WTF is that all about can they do that?

Have you called them or emailed to find out if it's an error on their part? Probably best to establish that before getting everyone up in arms about it...

Yeah i am away to at lunch and its going to cost me a fortune as its an 0845 number and it will be calling from my mob.

if its the 0845 6090200 or 0845 6031603 number you need to ring, try using 01925 672317. Its the geographical number for them.

A lot of mobile free minute plans dont cover 0845 numbers:thumbsup:

if you didnt pay on the 20% off day what do you expect?

you should of clarified it when they said they werent charging until they sent it,

the system most probably hasnt recognised it as discount when youre original order wasnt accepted



m & s probably have the best customer service going and im sure you will get a refund

Alot of companies do this and has never been a problem before.

I have spoke to M&S and told the lady that i was getting the mattress for £104.30. This is actually 30% off and she said she will need to speak to someone and if i can phone back later.

i wouldnt worry too much the system will have a record of the original order but they could of offered to ring you back.

i would of insisted after taking her name as its their error

Thanks Fingers crossed the only reason i bought it was cause the price i was getting it for i don't really need it my mattress is not to bad.

I no but i would of bought one in the January sales anyway as i replace my mattress every year in the sales as i have heard way to many stores about bugs n horrible things in your mattress(im weird):oops:

No they cannot do this! phone them as it's a mistake.. Did you receive email confirmation of the price after you paid?

Go down to an M&S shop and start smashing everything until you get your own way.

( you state your card payment was not accepted) - if you are saying your card was declined for payment by your card issuer on the 20% day then they have the right to charge you on the day that your payment does go through - if you are saying they just didnt take the payment on the 0% day then no they can't but if that is the case then I wuld just ring them and explain and i am sure they will give you the discount

i think you only get it at the 20% off price if you pay for it when it is on the offer but if you order it and dont pay till it gets delivered and that has gone past the sale date then you have to pay the full price cause it is no longer on offer.
