So did I!

He's definately male as male pronouns are used throughout.

They refer to him as a heifer and also a bullock. Very confusing! I thought a heifer was a young female cow and a bull is male?

I believe they had made a mistake then... Or the author is stupid :)

From wiki...

Cattle, colloquially referred to as cows (though technically cow refers only to female bovines), are domesticated ungulates, a member of the subfamily Bovinae of the family Bovidae.

You can try milking it if you want :whistling: he'd be you friend forever:w00t:

The animal in the article is a Bullock (a castrated bull)

Where they have refered to it as an heifer is a mistake, a heifer is a young female cow before she has had her first calf
#23
Holy cow! That thing is huge.
#24
Technically, it's a bull or bullock, depending on whether he's been castrated, but the generic cow is often used to refer to both sexes.
Wiki explains:

#25
its obviously been eating its veg and drinking lots of milk in order to sustain its big bones :-D:p

raww pal, i like it.

I think there's some trickery in some of the photos to make it look bigger (e.g. the cow is closer to the camera than the woman, they're leaning in the pic where they're pushing it maing it harder to judge the size, etc).

No doubt that it's pretty darn big - but evidently not as huge as it looks in that first pic!

Makes you wary of running through fields...
