Body Shop do a Tinted Glow Enhancer (bit like a tinted moisturiser) or try their Vitamin C Skin Reviver....sorry if I'm on the wrong lines here :)

my sister only uses the helena rubenstein stuff and she throws it away after a couple of applications so I just grab what she doesn't want lol

They reckon use the most expensive stuff next to the skin and they go for cheaper stuff that doesn't actually come into contact with the face so get the best you can afford I think x x

Damn I'd hadn't heard of primers but then again I probably not wore any make up for over a mth so I wouldn't know too much anyway about this kind of thing.
I just use face powder,I find foundation clogs up.

It really depends on your skin type and what you feel comfortable with.
The best sellers I've sold have been either Rimmel Fix & Perfect Foundation Primer or Rimmel Recover Perfecting Veil, but there are 100's out there to try. I didn't get any negative comments at all about the perfecting veil one though if that helps.

boots no 7 non shine. its sold as a none shine but is really a primer. i would recommend this, my foundation doesn't slide off and is still pretty decent after a day.

... just got it from upsatirs. - no7 sine free make up base "stops shine for a matt finish" although i use it so my foundation stays on all day. its in a squezy tube like cream rather than a conceler "lipstick" is this what you mean costs 11 quid

Lancome do a fantastic primer 'La Base' i think it's called. Go to Debenhams and give it a go, makes your skin feel like silk, keeps the foudation in place and especially good for those who get sweaty faces in summer as it helps the foundation to stay in place and not become slippy, if you know what I mean. Expensive but you need hardly any.

FWIW theres probably better out there as the range I sell stops at the likes of L'Oreal, its mid range stuff rather than stuff what costs £20 a tube :)
Depends on your price point too.

I hate make-up on my face, I always go for light, even when I'm on the pull, I begrudge wearing it.

Moisturiser, powder, mascara, bit of lippy, job done, if I get no takers, their loss, lol

Worked so far for me;-)

Jeepers it's so expensive too, bought a new lipstick last time I went out, £5.20, yeh I know cheap to some of you, but expensive to me, it was lovely, I lost it, much sadness:p Not even 4 hours old:w00t:

lol, only ever wear any make up if im going into town or a night out 9night out about 3 times a year if im lucky - lol) dont wear any through the week, probs why i look like crap

i remember years ago i got an anti wrinkle tighten your eye bag under the eye area thing from Avon, was going on a big night out. I applied it and after about 2 mins when it dried i noticed a massive difference (like tying your hair back in a tight ponytail...instant eye lift) ..got half way through the night and everyone was looking at me ...i'm thinking hmm looking good. went to the ladies and it was flaking off like one of those peel off masks.

I just rub on moisturiser then after 5 mins use my foundation. Job done. :)

Bare Minerals / Bare Escentuals do one called "Prime Time" which is really good.

It is available from Debenhams (online and in store) or online at the Bare Escentuals website or Lookfantastic.com.

Its £17.00 a bottle but lasts ages.

bareMinerals Prime Time is a preservative-free foundation primer developed to combat flaky dryness, rough patches, fine lines, excess oil, enlarged pores and uneven texture. This mineral-infused, satin-finish formula glides on seamlessly with no tacky feel to provide a skin-smoothing complexion prior to bareMinerals SPF 15 Foundation application. Infused with soothing plant extracts, antioxidants and nourishing vitamins C and E for added age-defying power. Great for all skin types.

Developed especially for use with bareMinerals foundation and face colors.
Instantly works to even out skin texture and absorb excess oil so your bareMinerals apply smoother and last longer.
Perfect for those with flaky dryness, rough patches, fine lines, excess shine, uneven texture, enlarged pores or those who feel their daily moisturizer leaves their skin feeling a bit tacky.
Infused with soothing plant extracts such as licorice, chamomile and aloe, protective antioxidants including licorice, vitamins C and E, and nourishing vitamins including vitamins E, C and B5.
Natural earth minerals, including silica and magnesium silicate, absorb excess oil for a natural shine-free finish.
Dermatologist tested, allergy tested, non-comedogenic (won t clog pores), preservative-free, oil-free and fragrance-free.
30ml per bottle

Philosophy do some too..."the supernatural" which is tinted or "the present"...I can recommend them :)
A bit pricey but of you buy from QVC you can try but send it back if not your cup of tea!

sassie it was like i had some mad disease.....proper flaky falling off stuff...and don't mention false eyelashes lol tried those too ....end up like little spiders hanging off my eyes ...but god i looked good at the time.

And the Lancome La Base, some friends who have tried it and since bought say it is so good they sometimes just use it without the foundation ontop. It evens the skin, covers dry patches so make up doesn't go flaky, keeps makeup on for longer than normal, stops makeup slipping in the heat, makes pores smooth so don't show up with foundation on, gives skin a silky smooth feeling and a glow. Some House of fraser, Boots and also Debenhams have Lancome counters. Can't recommend it enough - try it at the Lancome counter and also ask the lancome lady for a sample, they sometimes give away sachets of it. Amazing stuff and had the pot for aaaages. One of the best birthday pressies I was given last year.
