Thanks for your replies.

(this aint gonna turn into a 'list of peoples computers I need to hack and put viruses on' is it :?)

I do, so convenient, instant & no more paper statements

I started to bank online mainly because my local branch was shut down. I also work full time so it's more convenient as far as opening closing hours etc. It's also a bonus to check my full statement whenever i wish.

I bank online too !

All the same reasons as above, convenience etc
#17
I do, It is more convienient.
Before online banking i used to phone my armchair banking every single morning to check the balance-i had a cable tv company take some money from my account once (who dont and have never even supplied me with anything) -and because it was 3/4 days later before i noticed i had a hell of a job trying to get my money back-and because there were insufficient funds i also got bank charges-which i never did get back!!! My bank said if i had claimed it back before midday the day it was taken they could have stopped it straight away & i wouldnt have had the hassle! So i check every morning now- My bank also decided to take £200 of my money on xmas eve as well-mistake on their part they said-i'll bet it was!!!

Didn't know you banked with National Westminster Bank Bazz. :whistling:

Only difficulty is paying in cheques. Getting cash is easy enough with ATMs.

Been with Firest Direct for about 15 years. Cant recommend them highly enough.

Cant think why anyone would go into a branch now, do everything online.
banned#25

Why?

- Online is not secure enough according to me.

To pay in cash or cheque.

To complain.

Speak to a financial advisor.

Some people like to do things face to face.

There are still a lot of non-technical people out there.
#27
I don't, no real need to. I can check my account at machines, and if I need to go into a bank its to pay money in (or take out over my daily limit) which I can't do online anyway.
#28
I do. Mainly for reasons stated by others, quicker, easier etc. The other importnat thing for me though is that living in the sticks all our local branches of banks shut at 4pm and don't open Saturdays so since I work fulltime I could never get to see anybody in person.

This is true but you are unlikely to fund that many people who are so non-technical that they can't work online banking on an internet forum so perhaps the OP needs to widen his reserach a little.

I took this into account and you're right, this question is only aimed at Internet users such as ourselves; didn't want to ask a complicated question :)
#32
I dont and wont bank online. I am concerned about security. Not just with the banks but with my pc.
