Cost is £10 and you get access to a whole host of discounts. They are listed on the website but some of them are;

5% off Amazon, Play
10% off Staples, La Senza, Superdrug, Miss Selfridge, Burton

I know that most full-time students will already know this, but I'm sure a lot of OU students won't

Part time students enrolling direct from uni can get the card too.

also applies to part-time students at university.

I'm not holding too much hope, but is there any way adult part time studious types can apply?!?

I didn't know about part-time students at real uni's but think the problem with OU is you don't physically go somewhere to register so don't see the union stalls/posters etc. Also as you don't mix as much with other people then there is little chance of actually finding out.

I studied with the OU for quite a while before finding out, which is why I wanted to share it with anyone else in the same boat.

TeeHee... I was a bit unclear there wasn't I?

I mean adult part time students going to say night-school at local ed places be it a college or community centre.

I know when I did a chemistry GCSE a while back I was told in the April as I was coming to finish that several others had managed to get one. Just never heard and didn't seem worth bothering at that late a date.

I only know for definite about the OU but I think if the class/college has a students union that is part of the NUS then I would imagine so.

Same as above. I should think it is worth asking.
