My boys 7 in september and we are doing a football theme for his brthday as he is footy mad. Part of it is that we're gonna decorate his room football style. We have some footy paper for a feature wall and a big murual/sticker thingy and of course the extras like footy duvet, beanbag rug etc...
I'm just wondering how cool it would look if he had some Astro Turf down on the floor too!!
Thing is, I wouldn't pull up the carpet that's down as it's pretty new so just want to put it on top. Does anyone know if it would be comfortable enough to play on etc??
Thanks in advance xx

yikes... would be dust mite heaven as you can't really hoover it.... and astro turf - to what I remember of it is not comfy.

You would be better getting a cheap green carpet and some white tape and tape a foodball pitch

Oh bum!! Thought it woulda looked cool but not if there are down sounds to it tho. Not really sure which one I'd go for but probably just the cheapest as I've noticed it's pretty expensive. Been looking on ebay too. May have a re-think then. :-(

Thanks for opinions peeps xx

im sure they do a kind of carpet/flooring in b and q that looks like grass, i could be mistaken, but it might be worth having a look.

hi Hannah, ive had a look on ebay and there is still similar stuff on there that we got ( bit like the stuff you see in fruit n veg shops) but depends on your location as a lot are pick up only and also the size you need, as a lot are off cuts, put in 'artificial grass ' and you will see what i mean x;)

Astro turf is dated now.

It's G3 that is the in thing now.

You don't get burns etc .. and them little black things are added by the groundsman to improve grip so you would not have them.( them "little black" things are actually recycled car tires ).

Yeah astro turf was bad for the legs as well. Maybe get tigerturf?
