Absolutely rubbish - considering the reviews. Watched it at work New Years eve evening & was about as scary as a money spider

For anyone who likes bloodsoaked Saw-type hack-off-the-wrong-leg-by-mistake gorefests - DON'T watch Paranormal Activity. If, however, you like things that let your imagination run riot (Alfred Hitchcock type of shocker) and really mess with your mind, PA is the film for you. And whoever said "supposedly the door moves" - yes, you're right, but then you obviously haven't watched the whole film and I'd rather make up my own mind about something, rather than having someone else tell me what to think!! ;-)

was very good. refreshingly original. Definitely has to be watched at the right time/place to get the full potential out of it.

I watched it at the cinema and papped my pants. lol

I really enjoyed it - not a film overshadowed by CGI etc - very tense and scary. Just watch it with an open mind - if you can after reading these comments!

rubbish, very unscary The bloke is annoying as hell

But i did like thier rug :)

i thought it was brill. very original. what people have to consider is that given the films budget its done a hell of lot more than most modern horror movies tend to do with a budget 10 times bigger. its now the most profitable film in history so it cant be that bad. for some people the fact that its not smothered in special effects and only shot in one location will bore them. ive been a few times to the cinema with different sets of people and each time the whole cinema has been on its feet screaming and jumping. gets compared to the fourth kind loads but not sure why, i thought that film was the total opposite; big budget, big name cast yet a complete failure.

By half an hour in I wanted to kill the woman and slap the man

Missed it at the cinema, looking forward to it on DVD, massive delay in coming out though. 3 months!!!

it was different, it was all about atmosphere and suspense rather than gore and it manages it perfectly

i watched it alone at about 4am and it was pretty damn good
#17
Carp watch Ghostbusters instead much scarier
#18
Worst acting ever,
#19
I liked it. It bulds up slowly & uses suspense rather than CGI.

#23
I enjoyed it as well... I tend to watch slasher type movies for entertainment rather than frights so this was a welcome departure...
