Ok, I recently quit smoking (NY resolution), mainly at my girlfriends request, although I know myself I needed to. I've tried stopping smoking before, and each time I stopped drinking for a month to help me along (I find I want a cigarette more when drinking), so I said I was going to do the same again.
Now, for a Christmas present my girlfriend got me tickets to a certain football game, in the hospitality suite. As some of you may know, in hospitality suites there's a bar. I said to her I'd drive up, mainly so I wouldn't drink and hence wouldn't be tempted to smoke. She said I wouldn't enjoy it so much if I couldn't have a pint, so she would drive me and my dad up, then go shopping and wait for us to get back.
Now, I'd already told her that if I was drinking I'd likely have a cigarette. Funnily enough, I had a couple of pints before the game, felt like a smoke so went outside and had one (or 2, turned into 3 or 4 by the end). I came out after, she asked, I told her I'd been smoking, and she's now in the mega-huff.
Does she have any right to moan at me for it? I told her what was likely to happen, and yet she's still in the huff. Bloody women!!!
