I've been with Orange for at least a year now, my last upgrade was to the N95. I can't update till Sept 09 which is too far away so I'm thinking of getting a new contract but I'm hoping to go through Carphone Warehouse or somewhere and get a freebie out of it. Possibly a PS3. Just wondering a) would I have to pay the rest of my contract out or not? b) does anyone know of any current contract deals where I'd get a freebie?

I picked up a free PS3 from Phone4U last week ( I say free, I'll pay for it in the end!) I got a contract with Vodafone with unlimited texts & 600 minutes a month.

I looked on the internet & then went into the store & asked about the offer as there was no info instore about it & (apparantly) they had one left from Christmas but I do know the Carphone Warhouse are advertising it in their shops.

I think you'll have to pay to get out of your current contract aswell so it could end up costing you more in the long run. (Depending on what freebie you wanted)

Paying it monthly isn't a problem, its just an upgrade every 18 months isn't very good for me.

Yeah, I might give Orange a ring later in the week and just discuss it with them, if I went through Carphone Warehouse I'd still have my network as Orange. My mate did this before Xmas so I may just have a talk with him about it.

Well not necessarily, on some contracts its stated that you are to pay for the first 12/18 months and then its upto you to leave. My mate didn't have to pay to get out of his and that was 2 months after a 12 month contract.

was this with orange lol? and what did he do to get out of it because i have tried this before with no luck... all i found out was if you wanted to leave you would still need to pay the rest off (which i expected to hear)

Thats why, when you start up your contract your signing up for 12/18 months, I've been in my contract for nearly 2 years.
