Orange - No Signal today???

I have an HTC Desire and I am unable to connect to either Orange or the Orange T-Mobile network today. Is anyone else with an Orange handset experiencing this?

This is getting annoying now as every time I try and search for a signal the phone reboots so I'm not sure whether my phone is faulty or its just that as usual, Orange are a POS.

I am currently not far from central London so one would hope that the capital of our great (or not so much) country would have adequate coverage.

its probably the phone, a phone network the size of Orange/Tmobile would never just turn off every phone mast in one go, if they did repair work it would be transitional 1by1

Anyway my BB9780 has got full gsm and 3G orange signal although in Leicester...

Fine all over Bristol too. Sounds like a phone problem. Are you able to test by putting your sim in another phone ?

Its working sporadically again now. So must be a phone issue. Does anyone know if my phone goes in for repair do I get issued a spare one whilst I wait for mine to come back?

I had this problem twice in the past two months. It seems like a phone problem. Sometime it connects the call even if there is no network!!! You may write on HTC UK facebook's wall and hear from HTC what they say!!!

If you bought through a dealer, maybe.

If you bought through Orange, then no, Unless you have Orange care. In that case they'll have a new phone with you in 24 hours and they take the old one away at the same time. . .

I had the same problem last week on Orange with SE Xperia mini . I did an update via pc and its been fine since so you could see if you have any updates see if that solves it for you.

I'll try the update thing as the update symbol keeps coming and going on the phone screen without any way of updating through the phone. This phone is really doing my head in. If its not this, its crappy, slow and random 3g connection or the keyboard refusing to appear when I call my answerphone etc. Not sure I'll go android or 3g again when my contract is up for renewal

Are you in the West Mids region?

I've had no signal, well on and off for a couple of months now. People are phoning me and getting answering machine all the time. texts are bouncing back with no signal errors. Nightmare.. Thinking of switching to Vodaphone.
