Hello all
I see that Orange are running a deal whereby on selected talk plans + phones, you can save £10 per month, also referred to as £10 credit per month. I gave them a call and they said that this means £10 comes of your bill every month, thus making a £35 tariff £25. However, when I wanted to buy online, the promotion goes through to the basket, but the 'cost per month' still says £35. I am wary of buying online because of this, HOWEVER, ideally I would like to buy online because it also seems you can use the Wincanton/Oposo discount to save 10% ontop of this- at least, both discounts go through to the basket which makes me think they have both been applied. Any thoughts?
I couldn't get the £10 credit/saving to be applied to the cost with or without the oposo 10%. Many thanks in advance!

ask Orange - "If you "buy" the £35 a month contract online, will the £10 discount automatically apply to your first month's (and every other month's) bill?; or do you have to purchase the contract over the phone?"

well, I did speak to someone and he said that it automatically came off the bill. According to the website, this is a specifically online deal too, so you should be able get it at least online, and probably over the phone too. However, at online checkout, the tariff remains at full price, although the promotion is also there in the basket. Therefore I guess you pay the full cost for at least the first month? Maybe the credit is 1 month in arrears or something. I think I will go into a shop and ask how it works- the guy I spoke to on the phone said he could put it through for me, but ideally I'd do it online and get the extra 10%, which seems to be taken off before the credit.

did you pick a tariff and phone on the offer? i.e not one or the other, it has to be both

i dont think yould have any problems at all doing it online, i did a credit deal with them last year and all worked fine

Hi jonbinns. Did it just come off your bill automatically? Yes, it has to be a phone and a tariff- only the tariffs which are £35 p/m and above are valid, and then on selected models. It all points you in the right direction so you can't go wrong really in that regard. I imagine Orange are pretty good, I just didn't understand why the reduced tariff did not come up in the basket, when the promotion is stated as included there, and I'd picked the right phone and plan.
