The new two storey Chester Road, McDonald's restaurant, is set to provide 90 new jobs in the local area.

The restaurant hosted a preview evening for friends and family of the new staff the night before its opening on Wednesday, and were joined by the Mayor of Trafford, Cllr Ejaz Malik and local Stretford ward councillors.

The vice-chairman of the Stretford Town Centre Partnership, Cllr Dolores O’Sullivan, said “The restaurant is warmly welcomed by the local community and it's timely opening will give families the opportunity to enjoy the Christmas celebrations at a local and well-loved establishment.

I think this was a very helpful post, I worked at BK for a while, a long time ago.

Not the best job in the world but it pays a wage for those who can swallow their pride.

In the current environment a jobs a job.

I work just down the road from here. It's a nice area to work with the cricket ground, Trafford Town Hall, Old Trafford and Tesco all within walking distance for your lunch breaks. The McDonalds looks really nice as well!

Or has just fallen on hardtimes / been made redundant. There is no shame in claiming benefit when needed. Only living off it as a way of life.

I'd sooner walk into a McDee's with a wee hat on than walk into a dole office any day. Anyone thinking of applying shouldn't have to swallow their pride as there is **** all to be ashamed of.
