How many miles on the clock? (Edit Me being a prat and missed it I think, I've just noticed it says 52,000 miles!!)

It looks like theres been some mods, An often sign of thrashing about (IMO) but it doesn't look to bad!!

Looks a good car though!

Pretty cool! :whistling: :giggle:

nah no thrashing, 2 lady drivers,

the last girl did the car up but never thrashed it as the owner now knew her.

cool tho, i dont see much in the way of mods...maybe subtle ones

like the alloys, colour coded bumpers and the light tints

thats it tho, nothing for the coppers to get worked up about lol

Its got a trip computer which is cool aswell, it tells you how many miles you have left in the tank so you know when you really need to top up lol

not sure if two lady owners is a good thing cos in my experience they do not look after their cars and bump into kerbs...not saying that makes them bad drivers but I just sense women have less respect for their car....just my view mate so don't let it put you off.
#7
:thumbsup:looks canny, all in gud shape.

regarding the fuel counter, i have one on a toyota, not sure if this will happen, but when i read i have about 20 miles of fuel left, 2 seconds later it decides i have 4 miles left, so dont let it go real low

never bought a car, but isnt £3250 a bit expensive for a car that is about 6 years old?

They also crunch the gears, ride the clutch a lot and reverse at 0.1mph so it nearly burns the clutch everytime they try to parallel park!!

Oh and don't have a clue where the oil, water or coolant goes!!

(based on female drivers i've seen anyway, Not saying every female driver is a dosy bint!!! :) )

you vauxhall was nicer mate

Why do people who don't mod cars always say that ? Buying a modded car would mean that a person has taken it upon themselves to PAY for the car to be improved (cosmetically & mechanically).

I bet car modders ALWAYS get the service done on time, at regular intervals, oil always checked, tyres in tip top condition etc.

I'm a member of a car forums & have spent a few k on my current car to get it to the way I like it. OK, so it performs a hell of a lot better, but it's in much better condition that say my birds car. That never gets it's oil checked, would never go in for a service (if she wasn't with me), tyres checked, cleaned etc.

Don't judge cars by the way they look, only by thier owners & history (dont think MAX POWER !! lol)

Saxo - car looks nice mate - but a little overpriced.

This is from Glass' guide (ps - they dont do the Dynamique in that year, only the Dynamique+ ??)

Well it also depends on the age of the driver, Generally an older driver (25+) will drive a car with more respect and not thrash it about either.
#12
After I had Renault Scenic for 3 years, the Renault brand doesn't exist for me anymore. If they want to me to drive it, they would have to pay me for the privilege :)

BTW, check engine hood's latch - there were quite a few cars with faulty latch, which caused hood to crash into windshield at speed.
#13
excuse me...im a female driver and i do not, bump into kurbs, ride my clutch, crunch my gears or reverse at 0.1mph. AND i know where my oil, water, coolant etc goes. I can also park my car better than most blokes, and faster. SOOOO less of the sexist remarks  :giggle:
#14
Saxo it looks like a lovely car. I dont like clio's personally to drive tho...i find the break and the accelerator are to close together..and not much room down there...

:whistling: :giggle:

There are good women drivers out there, But there are also a lot of crap women drivers who generally seem worse than men of the same age.

Most women don't have a clue of the mechanicals either.
#19
I spend alot of time rolling my eyes at 'em bloody women drivers
#20
Boys around 17-22 are the worst drivers.....and thats proven..look at insurance

I'd have to say women of the same age are just as bad!

Young boy/girl racers are by far the most idiotic though, Thrasing their car off every lights, Don't stop for crossings and think their totally above the law!, I just laugh though, There just damaging their car constantly, Which only costs pounds that could go towards a better car!!!!

Again there are few that do drive properly but the majority are idiots!
[mod]#22
I still think it's been thrashed...........people don't go to all that effort and then pootle around at 29mph.

And 17" alloys = very expensive tyres. My car has 17" rims as standard and for a really good set of tyres (won't have crap) it sets me back around £800.

WHAT!!!!

I'd cry if my tyres cost that much!!

I've got 17" alloys and my tyres rarely cost more than £50 a pop, again - only good tyres bought!

I have low profile very wide tyres and at £50 although they are probably good i wouldn't put my kids lives at risk....i'll only buy very high quality tyres.

Unfortunately expensive cars = expensive maintanace. :-(

Where do you buy your tyres from? :?

I have 2 cars with 17"s.

My high mileage/everyday car has Michelin Pilot HPs that cost £90 a boot fitted. My school run MPV has Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3s for £85 per tyre fitted. All from Elite in Essex.

Do you find that Yokos wear quickly? The reason that I put Michelins on the Beemer is that I can't be bothered to change tyres every 12,000 - which is about 3-4 times a year for me. On the MPV the Goodyears are average for wear but brilliant for wet braking and cornering - which is the safety margin I want for my kids given our lovely weather in this country.

In the past my experience of Yokos has been huge dry grip, only average wet grip and high wear. Maybe you could give me your opinion as I haven't used Yokos for 5-6 years?

Hi, back now...........yes yoko's are very quick wearing unfortunately but their wet weather performance is much better nowdays and they are superb in the dry. I don't do too much mileage so it's not to big an issue.

Sorry for the daft question...on your original wish list I thought you were asking for advice on a Clio Diesel (not petrol). Seems a high price, but good spec and low(ish) miles. Not too sure about the wheels...'boy'd' up cars always make me worry.

'boy'd' up cars always make me worry.

I'd quite like a fiat punto next (early model, cheap insurance), One car was £400, Sounded cheap for the year, Had a look on the listing and it had "Lexus style lights", "Big bore exhaust", "White racing stripes" and "a fast 1.1L engine with K&N air filter"

Never laughed so much!!!, Needless to say I didn't go and buy it!!! :)
