Lovely sunny day so we decided to get the bikes out and head for the hills.
The tyres were a little down having not used the bikes since last year so a quick few pumps and were ready for the off.
All was going well the birds were singing, a fox ran out in front of us, rabbits and lambs jumping about, pheasants strutting their stuff. Then some 4 miles from home I get a puncture. Had I checked the puncture kit was in the bag. No so I ended up pushing the blooming bike all the way home ... not a happy bunny.....

I went for a ride this morning with the guys too, did 27 miles no punctures because well we're too quick to get any and I have those 4x thickness inner tubes never had a puncture yet with them. This is the 2nd year. - btw off road I don't wear Lycra

Same she only gave you 0.5 ... that I guess was for turning up ... None for pity ..

I used to cycle daily on my mtb. and i went 2 years without a puncture. its good to keep a decent tyre pressure and slime liners are great too.
keeping the tyres pumped up properly will help avoid pinch punctures, the liners stop thorns etc puncturing.

Its harder work pushing a bike up and down hills than riding it-- I don't mind walking by its self ...

You should stop driving a metro and get a car that fits the bike straight in the boot:roll:

I can go one better I didn't even get to my destination or back home, I ended up in an ambulance with a suspected ruptured Aorta! from hitting a tractor head on breaking my collar bone :) it was a Fast-trac (TM) tractor and it was moving too
