out of warranty replacement iphone £139

not sure if this should be in deals or misc but apple are offering an out of warranty replacement iphones for £139 same price for all models but like for like ie 16gb for 16gb
i bought one off an auction site for £70 that wouldnt switch on due to water damage took it to the apple store and within 5 mins walked out with a replacement.£209 for a phone thats selling for £340 aint bad!

yep instore only like i said doesnt matter what condition as long as its in one piece

In theory it sounds like a good idea, but is it 100% verified? Any Terms and conditions? This means you can buy any faulty iphone off ebay and buy this warranty and get replaced. And are you sure it was water damaged? I have seen no warranty replace water damaged phones

I can verify this is indeed true, if you have a iphone that is broken (some they can fix instore) and they cant fix it they will replace the broken phone with a new one for £139. We were asked a few questions about how long the phone had been active for etc but wasnt a problem as was my ex's phone which he had had since new and the speaker had stopped working.

it was water damaged apple store confirmed this as both sensors were pink this is 100% verified even for smashed screen phones it works as long as the phone is in 1 piece of course!this is not a warranty you buy just bring the broken phone to an apple store and get a replacement

what is the deal with cracked backs? I have a slight crack from the port connector to just under the do not bin logo. Spoke with Apple CS and they booked an appointment in one of their stores. Do they replace the back or the whole thing...BTW mine is in its normal warranty period and is immaculate

trouble is the average selling price of a broken Iphone 3G on ebay is about £100-£120, average selling price for a used iphone 3g is about £200-£220 (so no deal really unless you can source a broken phone cheaply).

Cheers for the info, just got back with a brand new handset, all was simple. So it should be really as the phone is only a few months old and was immaculate.
