Take the £2 giftcard back in, buy some more "asdabix" and see if it happens again! - repeat process until asked to leave.

my local tesco takes coupons off youre shopping even if you dont buy the products. i used to multiple register for coupons and save a fortune on my shopping. used to get nappy vouchers all the time. kind of dried up a little now though.

My local Asda stopped giving them out last year. I went to get a refund and asked about the £2 gift card, as I had been given one before. The SA said that the policy no longer applied as it was being 'abused'. How it could be I don't really know because you would only get it if you were overcharged by them in the first place . Would be interesting to know if 'their policies' are nationwide or store specific.

My card was issued at the Eastbourne store.

Oops yeah I should have said, my local is the Cardiff Bay store. I did wonder if she was just being awkward and didn't want to give it out, but I have seen at least 2 other people being told the same thing by others. Maybe it varies from store to store? :)

I get a giftcard nearly everytime I'm in, I'm always being overcharged.

I'm one of those person that start checking the receipt before I get away from the checkout lol.

I'm always overcharged every time I do a shop...whether it's online or in the local tescos, which is on an almost daily basis.

I find it extremely frustrating that I have to stand there and scan the receipt, then, have to wait at customer services to then walk around the store and check the prices to confirm I've been overcharged and give back the difference.

This process can take 5-10 mins and is embarrassing, which is why I don't always do it but I rarely am even offered an apology, let alone gift cards or anything. :x

Even my shopping that arrived yesterday was missing a BOGOF shampoo that they stated arrived (was charged for the first and the free item didn't arrive but it states it did on the receipt) and was overcharged on internet exclusive price of oranges that were supposed to be £1 but cost £1.87
