Hi
Im buying a new cpu (core2duo e7400 2.8ghz) a new motherboard and ram but im slightly confused as what to go for Im not interested in overclocking at the moment but may well do so later on if needed so im a little unsure if I have to have ram which is overclockable if I want to overclock my cpu.Ive not made my mind up as to which motherboard and ram Im going for from the list below (2 motherboards and 2 types of ram) I will also be purchasing an artic 7 cooler pro from ebuyer to cool the cpu. If anyone can give me some advice as to what would be best to go for I would very much appreciate it ,
Thanks

All ram can be overclocked, only yhe CPU and motherboard need to specifically support it. The CL4 ram will probably be better for overclocking, although with the Core 2 extra ram speed doesn't make much difference unless you really push the FSB (dual-channel 800Mhz ram needs the FSB above 1600Mhz (4x400) before overclocking it will make any difference).

As for the motherboards you'd be best off finding a review or roundup that compares the two, they're both similar so which is best will come down to what problems they have as well as how well they're laid out.

Thanks,
My main concern was to overclock my CPU, not too bothered about OC the ram. I ended up going for the gigabyte motherboard and 4gb of corsair 800mhz ram due to the reviews
