Just bought a 5230 from the deal posted on here, arrived this morning but can't get ovi maps to work well. Only shows me the local area to me 2 miles tops. I type in a Nottingham address and It can't find it. How do I get full UK maps onto this phone?

Thanks

I'll suggest you first download onto your desktop/laptop the Nokia PC suite and Nokia Map Loader... then connect phone to desktop/laptop using the std Nokia datacable and download the relevant country maps..Id be amazed if you got it all right at first go but then there are a million discussion threads at the Nokia support site to cover all possible problem scenarios...so after a couple of hrs, you shud be able to get it all...best of luck !!

you need to set the phone and the program up to connect to the internet. then it will download on demand. if you do the above method it will be a lot quicker for future use. you choose to load certain regions of earth.

I just connected mine to my wifi then opened the app for the first time and it went online and downloaded the maps - it's been working fine since online or offline but it doesn't seem to do 6 digit post code searches which is annoying.
