I need some more ideas for my sons school lunch! its starting to get a bit boring! I do either chicken, ham or corned beef sarnies (he doesnt like cheese, peanut butter or jam) with yogurt tubes and a chocolate biscuit bar of some kind sometimes a box of raisans too. he's not much of a crisp eater. the odd day he'll have school dinners, maybe once/twice a month. anything else we can do next week?

pop in a freezer block thingy?

or do you give calypso type drink? try freezing over night and putting with lunch, on a warm day it'll keep it cool but defrost in time for lunch

i can beat that - my son wouldnt eat any sandich filling, only bread and butter! - he has improved with age, but not much

Chocolate spread sandwiches, probably not go down too well with school but mine have them occasionly for school.
#23
my kids really like pasta twists/shells with chicken in either a mayo or tomato based sauce with peppers, sweetcorn etc in a tub. Also the savoury rice packets that you make up yourself goes down well too chicken/beef/chinese - they say its better cold!

Yeh,some schools are much stricter than others. It's only occasionly they have it,I don't see big deal in moderation.

yeah alot do this now, but funnily enough are happy to let the school dinners go through without full servings

Apart from sandwich ideas which have been presented can i suggest some fruit. You could give him sliced apples, an orange, or grapes. Or a Del Monte Fruitini its mixed fruit in juice in little pots, or a jelly pot. He might like these refreshing thing as summer is approaching

Like others have said - Pasta is a good easy one - can pre prepare the night before aswell... try also fruit, jelly, the wee packets of bite size biscuits u get, cocktail sausages, cheese sticks, triangles, chicken drumstick (not sure about it sitting in a packed lunch all day though but if it can sit in a sanwich then why not whole?) Bitesize cucumber, cherry tomatoes.... it is hard thinking of things isnt it :)
